I think Jango might have been named after Jean Ango, a French privateer during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. [1].--DancePowderer 04:16, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

I actually thought he was an homage to Django Rhineheart, a rock-and-roll musician from the eighties.Macbook5 22:32, May 12, 2010 (UTC)Macbook5

Jango Charater influences Edit

For those few who happen to have been serious Rock & Roll fans(especially the 60's & 70's), you might remember that Mick Jagger wore/owned a pair of heart-shaped sunglasses. I do not remember when he first wore them but I remember seeing a picture of him with them when I was a preteen kid(70's). In addition to this - if you ever watch him move, he moves almost exactly like Jango does, has similiar facial features, as well as a simliar bone/body structure as Jagger.

As for the claim about Jango dancing the 'moonwalk' like Micheal Jackson ... well that boat has sailed LONG ago. There were performers that have used that particualr move decades before Jackson ever made it famous. The only thing Hango really has in common with Jackson is the not-so-unique 'moonwalk' and the fact that jango wears gloves.

I you doubt me, fine - but take an hour or so to watch some youtube vids of Jagger on stage and off, before you really finalize that decision.
