Given his name

It's hard to imagine he is any other Zoan than the Yamata no Orochi. Less inferance than assuming Chiqicheetah is a Cheetah Zoan. Hope no one gets upset with me posting the information. [2]

hey where are those colored image come from??--MASTER 01:36, December 7, 2019 (UTC)

I'm cool with keeping him as unknown for the time being. If he stays dead in the next few chapters I won't have an issue marking him deceased. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 17:05, July 19, 2020 (UTC)

I also agree, but I think we should wait for a while depending on the way to how the progression of the fight would turn out as anything can happen and with Covid-19 still an issue it will affect the release of the later chapters for the moment. -Adv193 (talk) 17:41, July 19, 2020 (UTC)

We already have a precedent for characters surviving beheadings (two in fact if you count Wapol), so an unknown status is fair. KingCannon (talk) 18:19, July 19, 2020 (UTC)

I agree with unknown until the arc ends without contradiction. OishiLover75 (talk) 21:00, July 19, 2020

I'm fine with unknown until after the next couple of chapters or a clearer confirmation of status. StoopidGuy (talk) 20:20, July 19, 2020 (UTC)

Wait.. What? Kaido chopped Orochi's head off so I reckon the status of him should in fact be deadTteet (talk) 03:07, July 27, 2020 (UTC)

Let's wait for more information. We don't know if being headless means the death is confirmed. Wapol was headless too and is now running around like it never happened. Waiting for something more concrete is the right thing to do, in my opinion. StoopidGuy (talk) 03:16, July 27, 2020 (UTC)

I think Orochi dead.(GoldenOath20 (talk) 03:34, July 27, 2020 (UTC))

I think we should hold it off. Knowing Oda, the Yamato-no-Orochi Fruit will probably have a mix of abilities of both the Orochi legends and hydra legends. Chances are, it would grant him extra lives (one for each head) at worst and at best, he can regrow them, maybe even duplicate them each time its cut. If a mythical Zoan just gives its user extra heads, it would hardly be a threat. Of course, this is only a theory, but Oda rarely piles so much hate on a character, and then lets him off easily with a simple head chop. They usually go through a lot ore punishment.(Shadoguardian (talk) 04:35, July 27, 2020 (UTC))

That might be the case... If his powers had been active at the time. He was in huma... norma... his default form when his head got chopped.(GoldenOath20 (talk) 04:57, July 27, 2020 (UTC))

At the end of the day I think the most important thing to do is give the story time to develop. Obviously Orochi getting beheaded provides instant shock value for this chapter and the seconds that follow in-universe...but as the story develops a little further it may not turn out that way. It didn't turn out that way with Doflamingo. This isn't exactly a series where lethal wounds are guaranteed to send a character to the afterlife. If the story keeps on rolling with Orochi's body staying lifeless on the ground I will have no problem with marking him dead, but the story still isn't past the instant shock of the beheading yet. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 05:22, July 27, 2020 (UTC)

It wouldn’t hurt to change it from Deceased if more information cleared it up. If he is presumed in the story as of now then his status should be deceased, not unknown. He was beheaded Meshack (talk) 06:24, July 27, 2020 (UTC)

At this point it doesn't have sense to keep pointing him as "unknown", he is dead, like Hiyori was marked as dead in the past. Cracker-Kun (talk) 16:11, August 2, 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm cool with marking him dead now. He's been stated to be dead by multiple people, the manga hasn't indicated anything otherwise (he's clearly not a Kanjuro drawing as shown by the blood that was seen during his beheading). So he should be considered dead until proven otherwise. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 16:20, August 2, 2020 (UTC)

I agree. I think he should have been marked dead before, but I certainly think so now. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 16:34, August 2, 2020 (UTC)

I think you guys should've waited a little longer to say he certainly died, at least wait until the end of Wano Arc Marco 1907 (talk) 19:39, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
