Is this novel to be considered canon like One Piece novel A? Some information from this novel affects and adds on to the backgrounds of certain characters, such as Catacombo from the short story related to Chopper. Also, in that short story, they introduce a character, but the real name remains a secret (the story literally says that it's a secret), but they also have an epithet that the character is constantly referred to as in the story. Is an epithet/alias enough to create his own page for him, such as other characters like Minister of the Right & Masked Deuce? If so, is it also canon? I would support this being canon. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 04:31, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

Based on precedent, it should be canon. As for the name, I'm not sure. We are usually fine with alias page names, but we've never had an epithet page name. I would like to hear some more opinions on it.Montblanc Noland :: Talk 09:35, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

As far as I'm concerned, One Piece-novels are about as canon as My Immortal and Cursed Child are canon to Harry Potter-series. --JouXIII (talk) 10:21, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

I'm against any of them being considered canon. SeaTerror (talk) 22:13, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

This discussion keeps coming up. How about we move to a forum, as this is our 2nd or 3rd discussion about novel canonicity? That seems like the most productive way to come to a conclusion, and a forum is more likely to end in a set policy. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 00:28, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, so we can just focus on canonicity of the novel(s). The epithet page probably wouldn't be best, so scrap that thought.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 00:30, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

Just like the anime being non-canon, the novel is not canon. --Klobis (talk) 05:18, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

Novels should be non cannon until proven otherwise.--BestyTalk 22:54, March 20, 2019 (UTC)

So for a source can this do along with this for volume one of One Piece novel A? Rgilbert27 (talk) 04:38, February 24, 2020 (UTC)
