Other Races

Just to match up the {{Race Navibox}}, why not add Cyborgs, Clones, Modified Humans, Space Pirates, Okama, Satyrs, Harpies, Yeti, and Klabautermann? I'm not saying they should get their own header but they should still be mentioned. Rhavkin (talk) 09:28, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

Mentioning is fine, but yeah, no separate header. Awaikage Talk 16:03, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

Agree with Kage but I think a separate header for unidentified races (such as Space Pirates, Morgans, Yeti Cool Brothers, etc.) could be added Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 16:05, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

None of those are races. They shouldn't even be mentioned on here. I meant to open something about this before on the category page. I'll do that now. SeaTerror (talk) 16:36, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

I am a fan of Kaido's idea. And to ST, some of them are races (Yeti, Morgans, Space Pirates) while others are just modified or slightly different versions of humans (so a subcategory under Humans would make more sense for Cyborgs, Clones, Okama, etc.). Montblanc Noland :: Talk 17:00, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

I think that a single example isn't enough like in the case of Morgans, because just like Magellan, Hannyabal, and Caesar we wouldn't add "Horned humanoids" as a header. I think it's best to go by a rule like "Only named species" or something like that.

ST, I'll comment on the discussion you'd open and not start it here, but as long as they are still consider a race on the category they should also be included here. Rhavkin (talk) 19:00, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

Also, Okama are not a race nor a tribe, so they shouldn't even be on the Race Navibox. Awaikage Talk 20:20, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

Should Wotans and the Kuja also be included? I believe Wotans are alright, but the Kuja are tricky, as they are still considered humans. Also, wasn't there some cannibal tribe that appeared in Buggy's cover story. Do we include them? Also, the flying folks from One Piece Film: Strong World too. (Shadoguardian (talk) 20:47, February 10, 2018 (UTC))

I really think this page should match the template and vice-verse, so lets decide where to make this discussion and go from there.

the "flying folks" from Strong World doesn't have a race name so they shouldn't be included. Rhavkin (talk) 21:16, February 10, 2018 (UTC)

The "Flying Folk from Strong World" while not having a name, they have a village, just like people from 'America' are called 'American', people from 'Merveille,' should be 'Merveillans' or something like that, unless they are considered a subspecie from Skypiea, and even then, should have their own 'race' as they are not 100% human or a mix from other races (as far as we know) until Oda or something from Toei Animation say anything more, sure they only appeared in a movie but they appeared 00:54, December 20, 2019 (UTC)

Why is this not listed as a race? We already had a confirmation from Kaidou. SeaTerror (talk) 15:20, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

Do you mean when he called Yamato "the child of oni/ogres"? Because the same phrase was used for Ace (583). Dragonus Nesha (talk) 16:11, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

He means when Kaido said to Yamato in ch. 1025 that "Oni can't get along with humans". Also the "Oni Princess" ephitet makes more sense this way. And finally Kaido's Vivre Card did not say that he was human. Cracker-Kun (talk) 16:42, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

In that panel in 1025 Kaido also says that she is descendant of Oni. Cracker-Kun (talk) 16:54, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

It does seem to me that Ogres/Oni should at least be mentioned as a possible race somewhere given Yamato's and Kaido's non-human physical attributes and the repeated mentioning of Ogres/Oni. Damage3245 (talk) 21:43, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

That's too speculative in nature. Roger and Ace have also had repeated mentions of "oni," but those four characters together don't establish a coherent set of physical attributes that would distinguish them from humans. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 00:36, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
