Baccarat does not actually need a coin to manipulate luck, she could do it with any object. It's just that by absorbing other people's luck, she can become so lucky that anything she does can trigger a chain of events that will lead to her getting her way. Actually, Raki does not come from how the japanese pronouce "lucky", but rather an inverse of this concept. The japanese pronounce their "R's" as "L's". Thus: Raki is pronounced "Laki" which sounds just like "lucky" in english.
That's the complete opposite of how the Japanese language works. The only time they pronounce R's as L's is when they are trained to. Such as a seiyuu saying "Luffy" instead of "Rufi" SeaTerror (talk) 10:14, August 4, 2019 (UTC)
