Name trivia!
His first name Scopper may refer to the element COPPER, as Roger's own name was associated with the element GOLD (the name that he is known by: Gold Roger) and Rayleigh's first name Silvers referring to metal SILVER. As Scopper was the third man of crew that is "left hand man" his name's association with Copper is just more likely as Copper is the third of the price hierarchy.
