Another set of pages has now been placed into a template navigation thingy-ma-jig-wha-ya-call-it. ^-^ One-Winged Hawk 10:01, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

This template has been broken for a while because it has too many sections. Recent English releases are not showing up. There are also some games like One Piece: Punch Battle that are not included, which would need to be in their own section or in an "Other" section.
Is there a way to code a larger template, or should we split it into multiple? I think it makes sense to split by Japanese and English releases. There will be overlap, but with the massive number of Japan-exclusive titles (at least a dozen of which do not have pages yet) and the increasing number of games being localized, the templates will only continue to grow. 15:49, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Is this a matter of too many sections, or too many entries? I'm me, so I'll always favor having everything in one big table if possible. For a while now, in fact, I've been agitating to reorganize the navibox by chronology, instead of system. Have one section for 2000-2005, another for 2006-2010, etc. Put system and availability-(slash-originality)-in-English as asterisk-notes.
(Really, nowadays pretty much every game is made available for every platform sooner or later. I'm increasingly thinking that having separate sections for XBox, PlayStation, [Insert group name for Nintendo's stuff here] is the epitome of redundancy. And the older stuff, everyone (English-speaking) mostly plays on easily-downloaded emulators.) RubberLotus (talk) 17:10, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
I feel like chronology would not help visitors find games - that makes more sense for the One Piece Merchandise page. We could organize it by genre (Fighting, RPG, Adventure, etc.) like Dragon Ball Wiki does, and create subsections for certain series (Grand Battle, Unlimited, etc.). 17:56, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
(Assuming more gamers were looking through this navibox, I agree with the genre based look up since most people would look for the genre they might like and then check chronology later. If we still kept the current navibox, I'd say make a Japanese & English release section and then a Japan only section so we get less redundant links assuming the Japanese and English links are leading to the same information. I made a version of this using game genres. Any thoughts? I think this solution is great because it solves both the duplicate and overflow problems. 01:56, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
