Trip is the young son of Drip.
Appearance[]
Trip is a young boy attempting to imitate Drip's appearance, who in turn is trying to imitate Sanji. He looks like a mini-Drip, though swapping out the tie with a bowtie and the black jacket with a closed vest. He keeps a lollipop in his mouth instead of a cigarette.[1]
Personality[]
Trip is an entitled child, but not much more than an average 5-year-old. He tries to model his personality after his father's projected life, and plans to follow in a similar career path by becoming a professional chef.[1]

Trip defends his father from Albion.
Trip idolizes his father, to the point of dressing like him and wanting to follow in the same career path. He refuses to believe anything negative about him, even attacking pirates when they threaten his dad.
Straw Hat Pirates[]
Trip looks up the Straw Hat Pirates, though generally sees them in ways that are very different from reality.

Past[]
Throughout his life, Trip heard stories from his father about his adventures in the Straw Hat Pirates as their head cook, and took to idolizing him. He believed everything he had been told, including both the supposed adoration of Robin and Nami, and the defeat of multiple Warlords at his father's hands. He wanted to meet the crew, and convinced his dad to track them down in the New World.[1]
One Piece Party[]
Trip visited the Thousand Sunny, and as he arrived before Drip, confused the members there. However, Drip arrived and explained his lies to the crew, convincing them to play along for the day to avoid depressing his son. Trip spent the day playing with the Straw Hats, eventually leaving with his father.
Sanji returns Trip's cookbook after saving him and Drip.
When they left, they got ambushed by Lip Doughty and Albion, who wanted to punish Drip for his involvement in the Fake Straw Hat Crew. They almost got Drip to confess to his lies, but Sanji intervened to defeat them. Sanji returned Trip's cookbook to him and did not reveal his father's true identity to maintain his faith. Sanji asked them to come visit again some day before Trip and Drip departed.
The next day, Trip and Drip returned to the Sunny, with the rest of the Fake Straw Hat Crew (except Demalo Black) and their respective children.[1]

- While the intentionality is unclear, Trip keeping a lollipop in his mouth instead of cigarettes is similar to Sanji doing the same in the One Piece Anime 4Kids English Dub.
