Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus

The Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into a Pegasus hybrid and a full Pegasus at will. It was eaten by Stronger.^[1]

Etymology[]

Uma (馬^?) is Japanese for "horse".

Strengths and Weaknesses[]

This fruit allows the eater to transform into a Pegasus or Pegasus hybrid at will. This grants them the power of flight.^[1]

This fruit does not seem to have any specific weaknesses, aside from the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.

Usage[]

Due to being a horse to begin with, Stronger does not appear to transform significantly apart from gaining wings. It is unknown whether this is his hybrid form or his full Pegasus form. He uses this power to carry Doc Q and other members of the Blackbeard Pirates while flying in the air.^[1]

History[]

Stronger gained the fruit's powers at some point before the Blackbeard Pirates attacked the Heart Pirates at Winner Island, likely as a result of the Blackbeard Pirates' Devil Fruit hunting.^[1]

Trivia[]

The bird Pierre was previously able to turn into a Pegasus-like form with his Uma Uma no Mi, due to his hybrid form retaining his bird wings.
This is the first canon Mythical Zoan exclusively based on Western mythology.
- While Marco's Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix gets its name and ability to self-regenerate from the Western phoenix, the appearance of his phoenix form is more in line with traditional depictions of the Chinese fenghuang.
Other than humans with Hito Hito no Mi models, Stronger is currently the only animal known to have eaten a Zoan fruit of the same species.
