Sengoku telling Ace who his father was.

Hearing/reading that for the first time was a real, WTF moment, simply because of the unconvincing way it was fed to us.  It was so on the nose and over-expository, he was practically speaking to the viewer.  And then on the second viewing, it occured to me,  he's doing a publicity stunt. Since the execution is being broadcast, he is playing to the cameras.  It might've helped however if he had refered to Ace in the third person rather than the first.

Was anyone else aware of this,

The show was obviously stretched out to sync up with the timing of GOLD, and with four weeks for a filler arc.  That means that Zou would run from August to the end of the year,   20 chapters = 22-24 episodes,  the timing makes sense.

    WORST

Overwhelming changes in Robin's character design

    Hordy (generic disney villain)

    Trebol (the inarticulate, bum…

I have high expectations of this one, coming out of the 'meh' feeling that the last special left me with.

Adventure of Nebulandia was seriously dissapointing.   The specials have this way of being very condescending towards Luffy and the gang, as if the writers are catering only to the youngest viewers. They treat Luffy more like a kid rather than a candidate for the king of Piracy. The last two movies  (and of course Oda on a good writing day)  succeed in balancing the beautiful paradox of Luffy's ability to be jolly and then ferocious and even occasionally a good commander. Luffy should be almost untouchable by now (by the marines). And he may not be the brightest, but under Oda's writing, there'd be no way he'd wander sheepishly alone in…

    - Which is better Naruto or One Piece?

    - Where should I start the series?

    - Is The Thousand Sunny actually Pluton?

    - Should I skip the filler?

    - Is Aokiji Robin's Dad?

    - why was Dressrosa so damn long?
