Hey Cracker-Kun! Welcome to One Piece Wiki! I wanted to ask why you removed the stub tag from Peeply Lulu's page? For your reference, it was placed there before because the history section is quite weak. It is on my list of things to do, so it should not be a stub for long. If you would like to expand his history section, then you could remove the tag. If you have any questions regarding stubs or other wiki practices, please don't hesitate to ask me! 22:37, April 22, 2019 (UTC)
Well, I thought that there was only an empty section so that's why I removed the tag, thought that the tag was used for empty pages. Cracker-Kun (talk) 12:44, April 23, 2019 (UTC)
Yup, we use them for both. Pages with insufficient or incomplete sections are still considered stubs, even if something is filled in. 14:00, April 23, 2019 (UTC)
Re:Blue Sea Characters
I'm not sure what the issue with having Moon/Red Line/etc. Characrers in the "Characters by Location" category is. I don't think we need a parent category for Blue Sea Characters. 21:38, July 6, 2019 (UTC)
Taking it too far
There’s no easy way to say, but I’m going to have to ask to stop making a hassle with removing necessary categories and adding unnecessary ones. The reason a character like Boa Marigold didn’t have a Kuja category for one example was because she’s already a Kuja Pirate which falls under that just as I feel it’s important to remember that Stelly was a noble at birth, not a prince.--Awareness Bringer 13:27, April 17, 2020 (UTC)
Pirate Captains Gallery
Per the Category Guidelines, to make a subcategory of a category (particularly a "Former" or "Non-Canon" subcategory), there must be at least 5 pages in the subcategory. There were four articles in the Former Princes category. I'm also not sure that Wapol, who went from prince to king, should be associated with the others in the category who were removed from power. Because every Unknown Appearance Character is an Only Mentioned One. Cracker-Kun (talk) 19:34, May 11, 2020 (UTC)
Hey Cracker-kun. I was wondering, where did you find the info on Oliva being imprisoned in Impel Down? Did you find a more detailed summary of Novel A online, or did you happen to buy it yourself now that is has been translated? Thanks. 01:00, May 16, 2020 (UTC)
If you are going to come up with a new color scheme, then please don't forget to update the correct table that's in the Information tab by adding the new scheme to it. This will help with future referencing.
Could you send me the link to the page? Cracker-Kun (talk) 11:42, May 25, 2020 (UTC)
The minimum number is five, as the Category Guidelines state.
Being a resident involves:
- Settling in an area with the intent of living there, or intentionally remaining there for an extended period of time. There's a clear difference between a pirate crew making an island their base (like Dawn Island for the Red Hair Pirates), and stopping somewhere for a few days as part of their voyage.
- Being born in a place, or stated to be from there.
- Being a prisoner or slave and "settling" in your prison or new place of work.
Yeah, they're residents. I do understand that "Udon Residents" can't be a parent category for "Udon Prisoners" though since Killer was brought to Udon to be killed. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 23:37, June 10, 2020 (UTC)
Non-Canon Antagonists Groups
You should really change "Non-Canon Antagonists Groups" to "Non-Canon Antagonist Groups". You are now editing a lot of pages with it, so I hope you fix it. StoopidGuy (talk) 16:22, July 15, 2020 (UTC)
Oh yeah, my bad, well any content moderator or administrator can easilly rename the category and the articles automatically. Cracker-Kun (talk) 16:24, July 15, 2020 (UTC)
?? Of course they can be renamed, I am content moderator in the Spanish wiki and I can rename a category. Cracker-Kun (talk) 19:07, July 15, 2020 (UTC)
Dude if u want I sent u a screenshot of the word "Rename" in the Categories settings xd. Cracker-Kun (talk) 19:26, July 15, 2020 (UTC)
The rule is Try to avoid creating overly specific categories that only have very few pages in them, especially if those pages would fit in a more general category that already exists. If you are creating a specific category from a more general category, the new category must have at least five pages in it, otherwise its pages will be moved back to the general category. This does not apply to categories that would not fit in any general category.
There are only 5 pages in the Saruyama Alliance category as it is. There is absolutely no need to split it further. Plus the Saruyama Alliance is cohesive enough as a group that it is easy to identify members just with that category, and creating a Shoujou Pirates category is just needlessly splitting hairs. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 12:58, July 18, 2020 (UTC)
Could you please tell me how
- Drake is the son of the Marine-turned-pirate Diez Barrels, and as a young adult was called Dory. He was physically abused by his father and when the Donquixote Pirates invaded Barrels' hideout 13 years ago, he abandoned Barrels' crew as they were trapped and massacred.
is not relevant to the introduction? It certainly is - it shows important family member, the used alias and an important part of the character's origin. Also, the appearance tells how that condition had effects on his appearance - it's not a substitute to the statement above. StoopidGuy (talk) 02:52, July 20, 2020 (UTC)
The text you provided only proved what I said here - in the appearance it only shows how the story shaped his appearance. The above paragraph still has important information for an introduction. Information is repeated if it needs to be (see: characters with history, appearance and abilities sections sharing information; devil fruits with strengths and named techniques sections; etc.). You could've changed the paragraph to only maintain the important information in a more succint way (eg, removing or changing the last sentence), maybe merging it with another paragraph; however, you chose to remove the information completely from the introduction, with which I disagree. Can you relax for a minute
You're infesting the wiki activity with your category edits and is making it difficulty for me to keep track of the edits I'm doing (and possibly other people). Please, calm down a bit and do things slowly, otherwise I'll have to report you for spamming.
So what? Are you proud of this?
I'm trying to check an edit from earlier in the day, but all those simple-quality edits are making it difficult. You're not really going to get a badge or anything you know? KingCannon (talk) 02:44, August 13, 2020 (UTC)
Again, I do not have any power to ban you. I just have rights.
Kaido has already lambasted people for spamming the wiki activity much like you did. I'm trying to be polite as possible.
You do not get to decide who is asniper or not
When it comes to non-canon categories, users should be able to find Non-Canon X subcategories as X subcategories under their parent category. Not as Non-Canon X category. Rgilbert27 (talk) 17:31, August 13, 2020 (UTC)
Hey, listen, I'm not actually against the idea of categorizing gun users. I actually like the idea, but first we need to sort out the sniper issue. Also, I would like to require two small changes for the categories:
1 - Rename "Firearm Users" to "Gunmen", so the category implies it's gun-armed fighters instead of just anyone who owns a firearm.
2 - Rename "Machine Gun Users" to "Gatling Gun Users", so it's consistent with the Firearm article.
You accidentally made Gun Barrel Users into a normal page instead of a category. 00:48, August 14, 2020 (UTC)
Because their blades are spears, not just blades.
Blade users should be for characters who use blades that are not identifiable in any other form. People like Buggy and Crocodile count since their blades are more like knives. Hody Jones counts because his Kirisame is not a normal sword or something of the sort. If you already have those blades as spears, then they remain in the spear category. KingCannon (talk) 12:56, August 14, 2020 (UTC)
Look, you should just stop categorizing everything as a blade because at this rate you will create a lot of redundacy.
I am trying to help here. The vast majority of spears utilize blades, so if you put all of those in a blade category but leave only the small minority of non-bladed spears behind, you will create a lot of redundacy by having for example, categories that have the same characters as another save for one or two characters that don't fit.
This will cause categories extremely confusing to navigate through. You are creating a problem that shouldn't exist. Reminder that you yourself already have been warned for creating useless categories. KingCannon (talk) 13:21, August 14, 2020 (UTC)
There's no need for that. Spears are diverse. We do not need to categorize who utilizes spears with blades or not, since that's incredibly superficial, which is a no-no in this wiki.
It's a superficial reason that creates nothing more than unnecesary overlap. The wiki is generally against that.
See my talk page for my input. 16:27, August 14, 2020 (UTC)
Category Edit Warring
Cracker-Kun, it is imperative that you read the Category Guidelines. In your edits the past several months you have repeatedly violated multiple of the guidelines, and your posts on my talk page when warned about it have generally shown a lack of knowledge about what the guidelines are.
The guideline you are currently running afoul of is "If your creation or addition of new categories is disputed, talk about it on the category talk page, do not edit war and add the categories back." This is standard edit war procedure. You cannot use an ongoing discussion as a cover to press on with disputed edits. If an edit is disputed, it must be left the way it was before the disputed edit was added.
No worries, it happens. 02:37, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
Hey Cracker! I appreciate your diligence, but I had not gotten a chance this morning to add Gem, Mikita, and Marianne to the category. They used to live on Little Garden, so they were to be included. 15:01, September 30, 2020 (UTC)
Correct, but as this discussion points out, the three were stranded there for a while before leaving and established temporary residency. 18:40, September 30, 2020 (UTC)
The timing is different. I would recommend you read the discussuon, as location galleries operate in a very similar way to categories. 21:55, September 30, 2020 (UTC)
