Bad words heads-up Edit

Yo Ninja-chan, MDM here.

Just saw your reply how you don't like to hear those bad words and just thought of letting you know...this wikia has kinda lose rules on bad words. Well, I am not sure how to explain it to you but so far even since I joined people are allowed to swear on blog and chat. Well of course if ther swearing on blog goes out of hand and if may seem offending it admin then they issue ban-warning but so far its casual swearing going around.

So just wanted to let you know before you get any more shocks from other members swearing. Hope you have fun editing and discussing.

  ☆ MDM ☆ (◕‿◕)   00:40, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

I'm used to hear curses and all that, don't worry. I'm 16 and I'm in high school, so I hear that 24/7 a day. But that doesn't change the fact that I like hearing it or reading it, especially when it's not even used properly. Well, I have morals and all, and that's just me. Thanks, though.--NinjaSheik 00:47, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Edit

So- if you want to help out here, don't be snotty about it, go with the flow and remember you are not better than everyone else. Just a tip. If you go around making little corrections too often that could be unnecesarry someone could call you bad names about editing too much (I know crazy). Just watching out for you!  Tuckyd  Idea Station  Hi There  02:35, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

I never said I was better than everyone else, I just know what I'm doing. I've been editing for a long time.

As for the whole "editing too much" thing, I'm not concern. Why should I care if they call me bad names? What are they, 10 years old? Or are they just jealous? I'm doing it for the wiki, doing the right thing. Why is editing such a bad thing? That's how a wiki survives. With it's users editing it and improving it and all that.

Thanks for the tip and I know you're looking for me, I appreciate it. But it's okay, I don't need it. I'll be fine.--NinjaSheik 02:49, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

Nami and Robin edits Edit

Do you think you could leave it like this please: Her trademark shoes are orange high-heeled gladiator sandals. Nami wears some form of high heels in every arc but they do not seem to affect her height, the way she walks, or her speed.--Rasenshuriken897 23:18, March 2, 2012 (UTC)

Ok, sure; I am glad then; That is something I didn't notice. Their height should be affected by the high heels.--Rasenshuriken897

No, I am not; I've only edited their high heels whether it was boots, heels, wedges - general and for specific arcs. Some person changed Nami's heels to wedges everywhere; since they are not wedges, I changed it back to heels.

Hey there. I am doing the best I can for the Straw Hats pages. The images I found I just happened to luck out on searching around for them. I'll try to add more as I find more.----Genocyber 22:29, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

Matching up poses usually is a matter of prntscrn and editing the screenshots together as closely as possible. If it's too different from the manga pose or in motion, it's usually not worth it.--Genocyber 22:39, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

User Count Edit I know you exist, so check out this blog!--Tuckyd

Uh... Thanks, but I don't blog.--NinjaSheik 20:41, March 14, 2012 (UTC)

Once I've read your response I knew you were young. How the hell am I suppose to know that those weren't your words. If you're going to take someone else's words you shoud mention them when saying their words. Don't just copy them. Viva cmpunker 00:59, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

About five minutes ago I read through everything, and I now agree that your way is better however, the both of you almost got into an edit war. So please, for the next time take it to the talk page and try to work out your difference there, if you don't come out of it together and other people haven't joined into the conversation yet, then ask them too. This site only works if we all think together and try to get along with one another.--(OnePieceNation 01:17, March 20, 2012 (UTC))

I work on various wikis, and I know the drill. But I listed my reasons, all of which were logical and well-thought. I'd expected as long-time users on a wiki that all of you might see reason and see which one is best. I don't see any reason getting an argument over something all users should know.--NinjaSheik 01:41, March 20, 2012 (UTC)

User profile Edit

Apparently you request the deletion of your user page, can I re-create it and leave it blank? Otherwise we will see red links for your username in history pages and so on, which is not the best thing to see. leviathan_89 22:14, 20 April, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe I wasn't clear... I'd like you (or myself) to create a blank page (no content inside), because every link to you username is now a red link (User:NinjaSheik), I'm not interested in the reasons of why you requested its deletion, seeing red links is usually something you don't want to see. Removing the user page is not the way you "leave" a wiki if that's what you are doing... Can you do me this favor? I'd like you to opt for blanking out your talk page instead of deleting (if you are plannig to do the same thing). Is such a big deal having a blank page instead of none? Thank you, and I'm sorry if you are leaving this wiki. leviathan_89 22:26, 20 April, 2012 (UTC)

Blanking a page is the same of deleting it, I don't understand why you see the act of blanking an unacceptable alternative of deleting it. You edited on this wiki, your edits cannot be erased from the history pages, the same goes for all your comments on talk pages/forums, hence all your link are now red links. Moreover if you are not leaving the wiki I found somewhat absurd deleting the user page itself, it's not written anywhere that that's the way of "demoting yourself" (I don't understand what it means), but anyway blanking out the page should have the same result. As act of courtesy for us, you should blank it out instead of deleting. leviathan_89 22:44, 20 April, 2012 (UTC)

Ok I understand that I seems pretty annoying to you now, but since you are admitting that you find blank them out the same thing as deleting, what are you saying make not really much sense... I think that they are the same thing, but I also think that an user page should never be deleted. You cannot edit "anonymously" on a wiki, if you want to do that log out when you edit here, but every wiki create the user page as well register your activity, for example although you technically can delete your page you cannot remove your trace from the history pages because that would be a copyright violation (every contributor must be registered). Usually the users who do what you want to do blank their user pages out or leave a simple text like "Hi please contact me on ... wiki", you can for example make a soft redirect like this:

  • User page: #REDIRECT w:c:naruto:User:NinjaSheik
  • User talk page: #REDIRECT w:c:naruto:User talk:NinjaSheik

If you don't really care about editing here then you shouldn't really care about having your profile blank, which is the same of not having it. As if that's your choice, I don't really know what are the rules about that, let's say that I'm an administrator of a wiki (I'm not one here) and I found having user page red links an inconvenience I should have the right to ask you that, shouldn't I? (The same goes if the users in a wiki decide that) I'm not going against your intentions anyway... you cannot actually do as you want on your user page, for example you cannot add spam or advertisements there or categorize it under main categories. leviathan_89 23:25, 20 April, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm Im Sorry but whyEdit

I have taken notice that you have asked one piece wiki related matters on the naruto wiki with our admin yata why do it there and not here, sorry but it bugs me...somehow. User:X-RAPTOR 22:51, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry Edit

Sorry, but the polls here were against us, I have to reinstate your pages. Please don't hate me, I didn't vote out of neutrality in this affair. Maybe we can seek special permission or something later. Yata Talk to me 01:59, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe you miss that the poll doesn't allow user pages to be deleted, but only that. Here the alternatives if you didn't read them:

  • Blank out their personal pages. (blank out = removing all content; deleting page = removing the page from the system)
  • Leave a few words telling how and where contact them (like this)
  • Make a soft redirect #REDIRECT w:c:WIKI:User:USER (user page) and #REDIRECT w:c:WIKI:User talk:USER (talk page)
  • Leave things as they are.
  • If the reason behind the deletion request is to avoid being bothered by other users, then protect the pages at admin level, this way only admin will be able to edit them if it will be necessary.
  • If the reason behind the deletion request is to not let people access the history page for whatever reason then the correct procedure to do that is: 1. blank out the page; 2. delete the page; 3. restore only the last revision of the page.

(I just copied the text from the forum, so meybe there are some mistakes) So you are still allowed to blank this page and leave a link to where you want redirect your messages. leviathan_89 17:17, 22 May, 2012 (UTC)

I'm well aware. I had an eye on that forum for a while, so I know.--NinjaSheik 20:05, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Edit ConflictsEdit

Ninja, when your editing a page, say a forum, do you ever get a message saying someone has edited the page before you? If so you need to copy and paste what you posted because the way you're doing it now is erasing their editing, making them have to do it again.  NewWorldWarrior  Talk  21:23, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, and I did do it. The edit conflicts are always do it, and what's erase from their during when its saving is kinda out of my control.--NinjaSheik 21:38, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Actually it is. You see when you get that message it gives you two options:

1. Delete what the other person has done and only add your's.

2. Remove your edit and start over.

The way it seems is that you choose the first option, when you should choose the second because you can always copy what you've already done and start the edit over by pasting what you've already done.  NewWorldWarrior  Talk  21:47, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

I didn't do on purpose. Even I did, I somehow manage to delete someone's edit by accident. I've in many edit conflicts, and I don't how they happen sometimes. But whatever, I'll be more careful. Promise. I mean no disrespect towards you, but I really don't want anyone from this wiki to contact me. You know, with what happened to me.--NinjaSheik 21:51, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

Vote Edit

Could you please vote two weeks, it will really help me out. (OnePieceNation 22:16, May 24, 2012 (UTC))

First, I'm sorry, I can't. Remember? I can't vote in anything until May 28th. Rules. And second, I don't really know what the heck is going on with you. So it wouldn't be right to vote on something I have to knowledge about, don't you think?--NinjaSheik 22:21, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

re:Quick Question Edit

So sorry, but I have absolutely no idea where that scene came from. Based on timeline, Robin, Vivi, Carue and Ace all together is impossible. Therefore, it probably came from an opening in the anime, opening from one of the movies 4 (where Robin was first introduced) to 11, or an opening in an OVA (which I never watched). This is the only deduction I can give you (the scene came from an opening or ending), sorry I couldn't be any more help. Yata Talk to me 05:14, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Maybe I can help you two with this. One Piece Treasure Battle! has all the 4 characters in it (no kidding). Unfortunately, I don't know whether there are anymore. I can't seem to find a YouTube video about that drinking scene, but I hope the info I gave will help.  Evan    Talk    Contr  05:30, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Man, finding small scenes from a flashy yet awesome YouTube video is really hard with a big series like One Piece. Well, I'll check out the openings and endings of the movies, but I've watched some of the movies where Robin stars in already (she's my fave female and I was curious about it), except for the one with that awful animation. Judging from the animation style where it shows them toasting, it could possibly be from maybe a flashback or image in an episode. The animation is sharp and clear, it follows the animation found it the episodes and One Piece: Strong World, which is canon. So it must be in an episode. Well, if it is, I'll find it eventually since I'm buying all the One Piece Collections (Collection Six is coming out in two weeks, but Seven is coming out until August 7. So sad...). Thanks for the assist anyway, Yata-senpai! :)

Thanks for the heads-up, Ricizubi. I'll find the toasting scene on I'm own, but that's going to take a long time whether I search for it wait until the Collections comes out. Well, thanks for the help.--NinjaSheik 16:55, May 28, 2012 (UTC)

Chopper's P & R Edit

Would you mind telling me what was up with that anon going after you on Chopper's Personality and Relationships page? I'm only asking since it sounded like s/he said the guys at central would get involved.DancePowderer Talk 20:41, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Your guess is as good as mine. I don't know what the hell his/her problem was. I don't know him/her, I was just was one of the users who kept reverting his/her foolish edit. I told that anon to take it to the talk page, too, but instead he/she threatened to take it to Central Wiki like a spoiled brat crying about not getting his/her way and made a ridiculous claim I was "censoring". What a baka, did that person even realize what he/she was even doing?

Well, the best thing I can say to get answers about what was going on is to go the source of the trouble. I saw the Recent Changes, and spotted that you asked the anon yourself, but that anon hasn't reply yet, right? Well, it's over with now, but if that anon comes again, you can either ban him/her or protect Chopper's page.--NinjaSheik 20:53, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Talkback Edit

Hi, I just noticed that you follow the philosophy of "answering in the same page", you may find this template useful than, Talkback. leviathan_89 21:17, 31 May, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, but that's okay, I'll just copy and paste my message back at DP's talk page.--NinjaSheik 21:25, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

I don't really know the page, but if you check megalo's page, it has a qref made for it. Just use that.DancePowderer Talk 22:46, August 5, 2012 (UTC)

Zoro being First MateEdit

Could you tell me where exactly it is in Dive that Zoro is listed as First Mate? If you got from the following list, on the blog page with the scans:

GRAND WORLD5では「海賊」を紹介。
船長 モンキー・D・ルフィ
副船長 ロロノア・ゾロ
航海士 ナミ
操舵手 フランキー
船医 トニートニー・チョッパー
狙撃手 ウソップ
料理人 サンジ
船大工 フランキー
音楽家 ブルック
…考古学者 ニコ・ロビン

that's just the author of the blog speculating. It's not a transcription of the scans. If you look at the actual scan above that list, it doesn't say anywhere that Zoro is first mate. I'm happy to be proven wrong if it says he's first mate somewhere else in the actual scans, but I just can't see it. Zodiaque             04:15, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Please just stop. Google translator is not a real translation. Its only for basic things. SeaTerror (talk) 17:25, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

So you saying that everything Google translate is wrong? I don't believe that. But whatever, get that wiki translator of yours on the job, then.--NinjaSheik 17:27, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Read my post a little bit closer. I bolded the important parts for your benefit. The information in that list wasn't in the booklet itself - it was just the blogger commenting on the page, and most likely trying to fit the 9 Straw Hats to the 9 jobs listed. There's a difference between what Oda says (i.e. what's on the scan) and what some random blogger says. Only one of the two belongs on the wiki as fact. Zodiaque             17:27, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Here's an idea: How about you stop asking me and go to DancePowderer? He's the one that started the whole thing, not me. You came to me because I was one of the users who kept reverting your edits, right? So you just wanted answers and copy all of that Japanese text on my talk, which I hate using to talk to people here, so I used a reliable translator that many people in the universe use to translate the text. And for the record, you can't just know whether or not that blogger just simply copy the information from the actual page, right? Either way, I wasn't the one to start this. Yes, I have always believed Zoro to be the first mate and Franky the helmsman, but never before until DP acted on it, saying that it was confirmed into that Dive to the Grand Line before I started to do something about it. So, whatever, I won't interfere, but don't count the admins and the others out just yet.--NinjaSheik 17:34, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Post Alabasta Edit

No. You should check yourself before you start hating. Sure, he may have on the same outfit as the canon, but a filler is a filler. The episodes of this arc do not exist in the manga. JapaneseOPfan :: Talk 03:42, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Alright, let me reword. The "post alabasta arc" is a filler, no questions. Now I already understand that the outfit Luffy wears in this arc was taken from the end of the Alabasta Arc, (which is canon) but Luffy also wears a different "outfit" that comes from this arc (although I realize nobody added it in the gallery). I thought that the way we wanted it was to post an outfit for each filler there ever was, and since he already has another outfit from earlier in the arc I figured we could just say it was Luffy's outfit for the PA arc. But then again, since the outfit originates from canon, the only change I made to Jade's fix was adding (filler) after the PA arc to avoid confusion. Are we good? JapaneseOPfan :: Talk 20:37, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Just wondering, what pages you consider fansite-like? If they don't belong to this wiki, I'll try to get rid of them....  Jade Talk   20:36, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Like I said, if they don't belong to this wiki, which by the way, should be as encyclopedia-like as much as possible, I'll try to get rid of them. I'll might have to make a forum to get rid of them, if there are too many fansite-like pages on here. And no, I'm not an admin, but I'm pretty sure others agree with me that this wiki should try to have as few as fansite-like pages. If there will be a fuss, then hopefully I can resolve it peacefully.  Jade Talk   20:51, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry to butt-in like this, but I think you're misunderstanding the purpose of those pages you mentioned on Jade's talk. Those articles are in a help-based section. Nobody is presenting the information contained there as fact. Nobody is chronicling it all just for the hell of it. Simply put, this wiki has a large problem with editors adding false information, like Speculation, Rumors, and even Fake spoilers and Translator Jokes. These pages exist to keep the content of these pages OUT of our regular articles. It's not a fansite thing. They are pages we NEED to keep our articles pure. It is a place where we can refer people who add poor information to in order to stop them from doing it again.

Most of the time, it's new editors who add that false info, but sometimes, experienced editors can fall victim to it too. Like here: These pages need to exist in order to make sure people know the kinds of things that are often speculation, errors, and the like.

And the Chibi page relates to OP merchandise. We're dedicated to covering ALL things OP, including merchandise sold to fans. It's not a part of the site I go to ever, if at all, but it needs to be there. That page itself may need some work (like a new title perhaps), but it should not be deleted. If you have a problem with that page, you have a problem with our entire merchandise section. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 21:53, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

If people are putting speculation in articles, then just explained it to them. There's no need to dedicated an enitre page based of such things. As for that Zoro edit, that only happened because a mistranslation. DP stated, so as an admin, I trusted him to be correct on that information. Your Japanese translator even apologized for confusing us. As for the Chibi, I really don't see a point that. It defines what a chibi is, and it lists where chibis are seen from the series, but again, I don't see the point. Lots of anime shows chibi within their episodes for comic relief and some manga/anime actual just sticks to chibi are their main design, and also give away chibi merchandise. If they want to know what a chibi, then just go to wikipedia. And for the record, I don't have a problem with your entire merchandise section.

All wikis, not just yours, have problems with others putting false, mistranslted, or speculation info on pages. But, as I said above, just correct them, tell them, don't waste precious wiki space to dedicate a bunch of stuff that are containing such things. The OP Wiki is the first wiki I have ever seen creating articles on things. Why not just say it all on here One Piece Wiki:Speculations. Why list EVERY SINGLE thing that has been rumored, joked, and speculated? Why not just give them clear examples? But whatever.

The Fansub page still has to go, in my opinion. Why are you guys listing every popular subber on the Internet for? Like this line here: Kaizoku-Fansubs is the name of the main fansubbing website dedicated to subbing One Piece anime for others to watch. They are quite popular and well-known, being the only fansubbing group that decided to begin from episode 1 to the present.

You're just basically showing the fans where they can go and count on for fansubs. And that's all they are, fansubs. They have nothing directly involved in the series.--NinjaSheik 22:09, September 7, 2012 (UTC)

Chat Edit

Sure, let's chat. Meet you at the chatroom. Also, I can't find the one about videos, but I found the fansub talk. Yata Talk to me 02:03, September 8, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Users Who Use Foul Language and Disrespect Other Users Edit

Hi - sorry I wasn't able to reply sooner as I felt the need to temporarily leave this wiki (due to the horrible tone it sets for users). I'm currently checking it out. Thanks for the support. - Ethelion (talk) 05:55, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Hey, just spoke my mind on the talk page that you've suggested. Thanks again for having my back and letting me know that I'm not alone on this, NinjaShiek :) - Ethelion (talk) 06:16, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Shiek, just saw your message. You hit the nail right on the head there, my friend: I DO love One Piece very much since 2011 (and I've watched all canon episodes and read all of the New World Saga Chapters just to catch up to its story) - and that's why I stick around in this wiki :), and yes - it's difficult being in a wiki that's very unprofessional and fan-based.

For now, I'm just gonna visit this wiki from time to time and do simple edits - edits that I feel other users won't disagree to. I've actually been to Narutopedia, but I left it, not because of its unprofessionalism, but because the admins' facts towards Naruto greatly contradict my own. Don't get wrong, I still love Naruto. But for Bleach, I left it as well, but only because I lost interest in the whole series after what was supposed to be its climactic arc.

And based on what you wrote to me prior to this message, I'm glad to say that we have a lot in common. I also don't curse and use foul language like Straw Hat Boy and SeaTerror, who think that saying "sh*t" and "f*ck" are cool (see, I may tolerate using them, but I still bothered putting asterisk marks on the vowels of these words!) and I certainly DON'T upload vulgar images like X-RAPTOR. Like you, I'm very sensitive in grammatical error (if you've seen most of my edits, you'll greatly notice that I usually include "Grammar Correction" as part of my Edit Summaries) and I have a zero tolerance against it.

And next time friend, please don't mention the word "s**cide" to me; I've almost done it before when I was still studying back in college due to backstabbing - and I don't wan't to relive that moment again. I'm glad that I've graduated from school altogether and am working now in a good environment - and I'd like to keep it that way. It's a very grave matter, but I appreciate your concern.

Again, I'll be coming back from time-to-time and do minor necessary edits - edits that most, if not all, users can agree to, because yeah, I DO love One Piece. And while I don't follow Narutopedia anymore, I still love Naruto :) So yeah, thanks for the hospitality, Shiek. I'm DEFINITELY NOT ALONE in this sham society that we live in. Peace :) - Ethelion (talk) 05:22, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

If you do write OP fanfic, what better place to release it in the OP wiki (in a blog, obviously)? :)

Especially if you write as well as Indxcv Novelist (y)

The Humaniod Typhoon Talkco

I'm currently writing, yes, but no. I hate blogs. They slow down the RC and they're pointless to wikis when we wikis have forums and their IRC to talk. Besides my fics are too long, so they'd never fit. Plus, I would never put fandom on a wiki.--NinjaSheik 17:17, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

P.S. You can change the WA so the blogs (or blog comments) don't appear, but I think you already knew that

Is it possible that you could make your sig into a template?    Karoo       Talk    21:16, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Possible, yes. Do I want to? No. Besides, I wouldn't know how to. I do have a template on the KH Wiki, but my friends know I'm terrible when it comes to templates and coding, so they helped me. Besides, is there is a rule that I have to make my sig into a template?--NinjaSheik 21:20, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Well, it's a bit annoying in source mode to scroll through all the codes... join the chat, I'll explain how to make a template (y) The Humaniod Typhoon Talkco

But it's not a rule? You just don't like it? I don't want a template, but thanks for the offer. And I won't go the Chat unless Yata-senpai wants me there.--NinjaSheik 21:27, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Sheik, the reason why you need to put your sig into a template is because when we view pages in source, we see your entire signature. We can't even view it in visual because it's such a complex code. It's not a rule, but it is something for our convenience. I'll tell you how.
Make another page called "User:NinjaSheik/Sig", then make another page called "User:NinjaSheik/Sig/Template" and copy & paste your code there. Then post the template on the first page, and make your settings have your sig to that page.
If you're still confused, I can do it for you. Though you will have to do the settings part yourself. uknownada Talk 21:28, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

I did something like on the KH Wiki. Well, tried to, but my senpai helped me do it. Fine, whatever. Everyone keeps bugging me on the stupid thing... But I'm going to do it on the Narutopedia, not here.--NinjaSheik 21:36, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Okay, NinjaSheik. Though if you don't do it on Narutopedia, that's their own problem.

This really isn't a big deal, it just makes the screen a lot easier to read for everybody. Even that disclaimer you put on there, made it a bit difficult to read on here because of that code.

And just to say, I don't hate you. I don't hate anybody. I disagree with your actions, but I do not hate you. We call you Ninja or Sheik because it's an easy and quick nickname to say. I give it to everybody I see. But if you want to be called NinjaSheik, then so be it. uknownada Talk 21:43, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Right... You just disagree with me actions. My actions are based off what I believe it, from knowing what's right and wrong. They're part of my personality, so if you disagree that strongly about my reasoning over that Fansub page, which clearly promote piracy, then you clearly dislike me. Everything about me from what I learned and what I believe in, everything that makes me who I am. If you can't see the BIGGER PICTURE on why refuse to let any sort of links or names be mention on that page, then you don't get it or "like" me. Everyone bases their thoughts and actions from who they are and what they believe in, so yes, you don't like.

As for the name, it's common sense to know who to address someone properly. After all, you don't go addressing your teachers in school by a nickname, do you, unless they want to be called that? It's about formality. That's all I'm saying.-- 21:53, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry about the user talk thing, it was to annoy Nada who was just leaving a message for you and he explicitly said that he was going to reply so there would be no edit conflict.. I wanted to tease him (a bit) :P

btw I see you templatetified your signature, thanks ^_^ (though it doesn't seem to work..)

The Humaniod Typhoon Talkco

I don't think I did it right. Templates were something I always avoid. Can you lend me a hand, please? These are the pages. I tried to di it based off what I did on the KH Wiki, but then I remember since the old KH Wiki and the new one branches off into a different domain, the coding must be different on the wikis.--User:NinjaSheik/Sig 22:02, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry for the template inconvenience, but you might want to put your sig's template in that page. This process is more complicated than I remember...

And I'm sorry, but I think you're incorrect. Just because somebody disagrees with another doesn't mean they don't like them. Jademing is one of my best friends on this site, but I disagree with her on the fansubs thing. But that's just one thing. We're still good friends. I would even be friends with you if I got to know you more. Just because part of your personality is put into your actions does not mean I hate you. In fact, you're pretty respectful at times. I admire that. uknownada Talk 22:06, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Oh! I think I know your sig problem. You put your settings to page "User:NinjaSheikSig" when it should have been "User:NinjaSheik/Sig". You gotta add that slash. ;) uknownada Talk 22:09, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Do you need to turn this into an argument, just calm down. User:X-RAPTOR 22:10, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Ugh... I should've just kept my old one. I have the slash in, so I don't think that's the problem. Maybe I should ask someone else who remembers how to make a Sig template.

You cross me at every turn, Unknownada. Even over something as stupid as the Fansub pages, the decision you made based off your own emotions, not logic. You wanted the Fansub to stay because you believe it's part of the series' "history" when it is not. It's illegal and had not direct involvement with the series. Yet you still persistent to keep certain names like you're just begging the fans to go find these people so they can demand more illegal episodes on the web, hurting FUNimation and Toei. If you can't see that, then, I can't ever like you. Someone who openly encourages piracy is just...wrong to me. It's against the laws, and I was taught to never break the law or support it. You are you because of you believed in, and I'm me because of what I think is right. I may not hate you, but I do dislike you. You're encouraging something to be on a wiki that could hurt Toei and FUNimation, you based off the decisions you make here from your emotions and not logic. I can't like someone who breaks the law or support it, in any way possible.--User:NinjaSheik/Sig 22:16, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Well, first of all you need to make a (blank) page on this wiki, call it User:NinjaSheik/Sig1 then copy paste the code of your signature in that page. After that you make another (blank) page, and call it User:NinjaSheik/RealSign , Press edit and add if everything goes well you should see your signature there. After that go to your preferences and to your signature, add and it should work after that :)

The Humaniod Typhoon Talkco

If you read the manga every week sheik, you are breaking the law. Just saying. Galaxy9000 (talk) 22:18, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Not if you're buying the volumes after that, which she does. Now let it go Gal, don't make this personal. The Humaniod Typhoon Talkco

Why is everyone butting in? Mind your own business, Galaxy9000, X-RAPTOR.

It's not like I like doing it. It's that I HAVE to do it. Besides, least I don't PROMOTE like the wiki does. And, by the way, I hardly see this breaking the one. According one interview with a voice actor, she said she even reads the chapters every time it comes out. Wikipedia always gets it information either from a primary source (viewing the chapter in Japan) or from scanlations off the web for anime/manga. We're a wiki, too, aren't we? If Wikipedia, a legal webite, can be excused for "breaking the law" in order to provide information, shouldn't the same applies to us? We're a wiki, we edit and provide information. Honestly, I don't think the web has a problem about Wikipedia or wikis doing that as long as they don't promote it. And The Humaniod Typhoon by the way. How about you top bullying me, Galaxy9000?

As for the sig, maybe I should just go back to me old one. I don't think the location of the wiki is the problem. My sig always appeared on the wikis I edit without a problem. It's the coding that's the problem.--User:NinjaSheik/Sig 22:30, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean with the location exactly? The Humaniod Typhoon Talkco

Ok, Ninjashiek, your beliefs don't allow you to like us, apparently. But please do not accuse Nada, myself or any other members of this wikia of hating or disliking you. Our beliefs do not prevent us from disliking someone because we disagree with your actions. So your words of accusing us of disliking you do come across as hurtful, and a bit insulting. I'm sure that if we discussed things that were not about this wikia, we could come to like each other. So please, know that different people react differently to arguments and things on the internet, especially when working on a "group project" like a wikia, and it is not ok to accuse other people of hating you because you happen to dislike them. Please read my words slowly, I am in no way trying to inflame any argument, I am trying as hard as I can in order to keep this wikia civil and respectful. Thank you. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 22:31, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Nobody is bullying you, I'm just calling you out on your hypocrisy. You don't have to read the scanslations, you can read SJA. Galaxy9000 (talk) 22:32, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

JustSomeDude: How am I supposed to trust you or anyone else here (excluding Yata-senpai) on this wiki? After all, if you wish to keep things civil and respectful, why did no one came to my defense when SeaTerror was targeting me when he was reverting my edits even when they were right? How is that fair? You edited alongside SeaTerror, all of you did, before I came along. Yet, you did nothing but stand on the sidelines, letting him do whatever he want until the very moment he lashed out and threatened someone. Could you not ban him earlier from uncivil conduct? Where is the justice in that? You ban someone when they threatened another, but you don't ban them when they are bullying someone else? I can't trust you based on previous actions on this wiki. I know I should let it go, but it's coming back to me every time I think about it. I never even wanted to get invested in the wiki's affair to begin with. I should've just stayed an anon and only edit from school and my home laptop. I only came as "NinjaSheik" because some of the users asked me to. I decided to give it a try, and also because knew Yata-senpai was on here. And one of my main problems is that you're thinking about the wiki, you're only thinking about what you want.

@Galaxy9000: It's not hypocrisy, not if Google allows Wikipedia do it. Like I said, I don't consider scanlations to be that illegal as long as Google, the one who owns Wikipedia, to do the same. Wikipedia and all of the wiki communities are one and the same. Plus, I'm pretty FUNimation and Toei does knows that we have no other choice but to it. After all, they're trying to work with the wiki, right? if they saw us as "illegal", then why would they be trying to work with us? They do approved of the wiki. They probably see us harmless since the only thing we do is provide information, therefore they probably don't mind us doing what we have to do in order to make the wiki what it is. Google allows Wikipedia, and they're both legal sites.--User:NinjaSheik/Sig 22:58, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Your becoming more and more like SeaTerror starting arguments with everyone over the simplest things, besides they were just trying to help you too i dont understand why you need to act like this you are really being a unrespectful, just stop this sh** and reflect a bit on what youre doing and calm your jimmies. User:X-RAPTOR 23:09, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

This is not an argument. We're just talking about our opinions. Don't compare me to that bully. He reverted edits left and right without a logical reason, threatened someone, and cursed at everyone. This is not an argument, this is a discussion and nothing more.--NinjaSheik 23:18, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

I was just pointing out that the way you were treating the people that wanted to help you wasnt the best way of doing so and if you dont trust anyone, how can we trust you,we try to help you out and you shove us away like we are bunch of useless and direspecting retards,i find that pretty insulting from your part,we just want to get along with you and stop this conflicts. User:X-RAPTOR 23:24, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

Don't use the "R" word! That's rude, and I don't that word. I'm not disrespecting anyone, I'm just on what I believe in. It is true based on your reactions to SeaTerror that I don't know who to trust among all of you. Yata-senpai and Jademing were the only ones that stuck up for me, and everyone was just watching and see how that went. And I never said anything about anybody being useless. After all, everyone kept this wiki running this long, haven't they? I gotta give them that, but I just don't see why you hold onto your fan-based ideals when this is a wiki, a source of information about the series, not what illegal uploaders do. I also still can't help think about what happened with SeaTerror when I speak to any of you guys. He was your friend, and you let him trample all over me during stupid edit wars that should have never happened like on Nami/Misc's page's. After threatening someone, he should be banned for life. Threatening someone isn't something you can joke around with. People can arrested for stuff like that.

If I apologize sincerely, can everyone stop editing on my talk page? I'm using my Watchlist to inform me of updates, and I'm kinda sick of seeing my name in my e-mail box. I'll try to get along with everyone (although I don't really see the point. I only wanted to do minor edits and avoid discussion pages so I won't get into trouble. Plus, I respect Yata-senpai a lot and I don't want him to think ill of me). So, I'm sorry for yelling at you guys, but you, X-RAPTOR, have to apologize for using such a rude word. I don't tolerate curse words, especially on my talk page.--NinjaSheik 00:14, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Check my contributions, I wasn't an active editor during most of your edit conflicts with SeaTerror. I never edited "alongside him" and I was usually just as opposed to his edits as I have been to some of yours. I actually did attempt to back you up during his one edit about Luffy calling himself "Straw Hat Luffy", however, you beat me to the undoing of his edits, and I confronted him in a private message about it long before you edited the talk page about it. (Notice how he stopped with that one?) And the other day I actually advocated for kicking a user who was insulting you (who's name I will not reveal here) out of chat, and the chat mods almost did ban the user from chat, and would have if the user had said one more word about you. And that's knowing that you never would have joined that chat or even known the user was being abusive Not only I, but some authority figures on this wikia were still willing to defend you even if you didn't even know about it.

SeaTerror should have been banned a long time ago, and everyone should have told you that before. He was literally a couple of votes off from being banned before. If staff hadn't banned him for what he said, I'm positive we would have done it ourselves. And in light of his ban and several other incidents, I think the whole wiki (especially myself) has been working to make sure similar incidents do not happen again, or that they are dealt with correctly. It does not help us to move forward if you keep mentioning our past though. We are trying to move forward, and you can totally be a part of that and making sure that we are in fact respectful to all. You have rights as a user here, just like everybody else. But if you are going to be disrespectful to the wiki and its users, you could potentially find yourself guilty of disobeying our rules.

This wiki is a different place than it was 6 months ago when you first came here and had problems with SeaTerror. This wiki is a different place than it was a month ago when SeaTerror got banned. And it's going to be a different place in 2 months when SeaTerror comes back. SeaTerror will be different when he comes back. (FYI:Staff reduced his ban to 3 months, but if he is disrespectful again, he will be permanently banned. Again, that is Wikia staff that reduced the ban, and nobody on the One Piece Wiki is responsible for that.)

You ask me about how you can trust me. I cannot answer that question for you. The only thing I can do is to trust myself and other members of this wiki to be respectful. I can't make you trust anyone. I can only ask for you to trust us yourself. I hope that I have provided maybe a slight bit of evidence to help you trust us, but the main burden falls on you. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 23:53, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

You never told me that, JustSomeDude. If you would have, then I would have excused you. Sorry, I apologize. But you gotta tell someone your on their side when defending someone else, otherwise that person will never know. And to tell you the truth, I never wanted to became an full-time editor here. Like I said, I just did because a few users asked me to on my anon account's. I would've been fine if just being a nobody to all of you. My main purpose was to help improve the wiki because I saw young this was (which was pretty surprising), and because I wanted to help my friends and other fans out there. You really have to think more about how much everyone depends on this wiki. My friends on FF. Net, they're always saying they go here for information, but they can't trust you guys because of how the wiki looks. I felt for them because I understood how they felt, so I wanted to help them, as well as me. I even admitted that the only reason I did the Appearances sections for the Straw Hats was because I was writing a fic for it and I needed the descriptions for their outfits. I even tried to branch out a bit to make the wiki look more professional instead of a fan site, but you knew how that ended up.

But because you guys are so fan-based, it conflicts of what I learned from the KH Wiki, the Narutopedia, and the Final Fantasy. I also edited on minor wikis, but this wiki, is different from the others. You support fan-based material, even though that's all they are. They don't impact One Piece in any way (unless you count the piracy, which impacts the series in a negative way). Not only that, you don't even have a Manuel Style (I know you're still working on one), and you make decisions based off your personal preference. Even for something like American English vs UK English (which I brought up with Jademing, who brought up to the forum). One user thought it'd be better to stick with with American English because it would be less of a "hassle" that way. Choosing something out of laziness is not the way to go. You gotta think about the fans, all of them, from all over the world when making decisions.

As long as you keep that in mind, then, perhaps I can trust you. Remember, this wiki is viewed by many and you must think about the pros and cons of all of the decisions you make. Not just you, of course, but that goes for all of the users.--NinjaSheik 00:14, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Friendship Edit

I made this a new section because it was getting side-tracked.

The reason why I supported keeping those fansub names is because of the impact they made on the fanbase, not because I support piracy. In fact, I don't. I honestly wish fansubs never existed and that everybody used the official source. Of course, that isn't going to happen, and removing the fansub names won't stop it. I want to keep it in because it's a source of information, not a promotion of piracy. I don't consider it promoting piracy, but you do. That's just our different beliefs. I hate fansubs far and wide, but I support keeping the names for its information. It's sort of like how religious scriptures talk about evil stuff. They're not supporting it, but if they don't explain what it is, you'll never be able to know it. It exists as information, not as promotions.

I'll say again, I do not support fansubs and I do not hate you. We may have different views on this subject, but that's simply because we're people. Everybody have different opinions, even the best of friends.

Remember that scene in the Water 7 arc where Usopp fought Luffy over the ship? Luffy still accepted him and he was never hesitant about it. He only waited for Usopp to apologize because of Zoro's advice. They had completely different views and actions, but they're still best friends. Why should we be any different? uknownada Talk 22:32, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

One, the thing about the religious scriptures, there has been debate about that, which has not yet been settled. Two, this what I mean. Again, your emotions. You're not seeing the bigger picture. The key word: fanbase.

We're fans, that's all we are! We didn't do anything to create the series. Nothing, and the fansubbers are the same. No, they're worst, because they know it's wrong and they're still doing it. They had no involvement. Sure, yes, I know that lots of people depend on fansubbers. Heck, my kid brother does it, and he doesn't listen to me when I tell him that piracy is wrong. These fan groups are the ones killing FUNimation and Toei, yet this wiki is going to list group names that does piracy as a of information. They had nothing to do with the series. They're fans, and that's all. Anyone can sub an episode. There many fansubbers out there, and once one subber is gone, they're forgotten while a new one takes their place or just quits.

Why can't we just rewrite the article and say that people do use them and not mention any names? Because you think illegal uploaders deserve recognition for their crimes? Please, remember that people get sent to jail for stuff like this.

I don't hate you, either, but I can't help but think you're too bias on this.

As for the example about Luffy and Usopp. Keep in mind that Usopp, when speaking with Franky, admitted that he kew Luffy was right, but his pride and his emotions got in the way of making the right decision. His feelings for the Merry got in the way, not his opinion. He loved the Merry, but Usopp KNEW he had to let it go. He just didn't want to admit it.--User:NinjaSheik/Sig 23:10, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

I understand why you think the Fansubs page should get deleted, and I sort of agree. It's just that this Wiki is about more than the series itself. It's also about the impact it has had, and I don't believe we should exclude any part of it. Fans rely on fansubs to watch the series and they might want to get information on it. If the Wiki doesn't have the information, where will they go? If the second option in the poll wins, we will add a disclaimer explaining what fansubs are, how illegal it is, and to please support the official release. With this, we will actually be promoting FUNimation and Toei while still having information on the illegal fansubbers.

I'm trying to compromise with you, NinjaSheik. I'll be blunt, I want to be friends. And I don't think that just because we disagree with each other in a certain subject means we should be completely against each other. That's basically what I'm trying to say. If you don't want to be friends and believe we should be our separate ways, then so be it. I'll stop commenting on your page. uknownada Talk 23:33, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

You can't just think rush into things like "friendship" so easily. I don't want to make bad friends. You just have to let things flow and see where it leads us, like the river.--NinjaSheik 00:16, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

I know. I would like to get to know you better. I just felt that this whole conflict sort of prevented that. I'm willing to sail on the river. uknownada Talk 00:47, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Same here. I don't like conflicts, but I gotta fight for what I think it's best for the wiki.--NinjaSheik 00:57, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

Re:forum Edit

Hi, thank you for asking my opinion but if you need to contact me can I ask you to do it through talk pages? (any wiki is fine) I don't really use email for wiki-related stuff. Also, I'm not an admin, why lately I think everyone think me as an admin? :) I'm not really that much productive any more... maybe you thought that because I'm VSTF, but that's different (see my user page and follow the links there). The active admins are User:DancePowderer and User:Yatanogarasu. leviathan_89 22:56, 3 October, 2012 (UTC)

Don't worry, it's more a problem for you that it is for me if you think me as an admin because that could lead to misunderstanding. That's why a clarified that. leviathan_89 23:41, 3 October, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Random Stuff 3Edit

Thanks for the link, that is definitely worth mentioning. I was actually hoping that you could edit that rough draft, since you obviously have researched this a lot more than I have. PX15.. 02:08, October 6, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I should probably wait until the poll is decided to include the names or not (I think the page needs restructuring regardless of the poll). Thanks for all of those recommendations, but I'm more of a manga person, so I don't really keep track of anime releases. I'm personally quite amazed that you take the time to keep track of all of that stuff and still participate in forums and edit wikis. PX15.. 02:38, October 6, 2012 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't respond to your earlier post. Concerning the proof-reading, I would love you to look over it and fact-check everything, but I am far from done. I'll try to finish by October 11, which should give you two days to look it over. Thanks. PX15.. 05:00, October 9, 2012 (UTC)

I copied a lot of the code from the original Fansub page to this page, but I really didn't change a lot. I considered scrapping the entire list of fansubbers and replacing it with a history section (since that seems to be the focus of this issue), but I felt that would be losing a lot of info. Do you think that would be a better alternative? PX15.. 02:23, October 12, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the help, I think I can get it from here. In fact, I'll try and add these changes tomorrow so it's ready for when the poll is done. I can't think of any problems, but if I have any, I'll ask you. PX15.. 03:45, October 12, 2012 (UTC)

Signature deletion Edit

Sorry to bother you Ninjasheik, but I see that you've had your signature deleted as one of your possible last acts on this wikia. I would just like to kindly ask you to restore it, as it has added many red/broken links to every page you've signed since you've put it into a template. Another user and I have been trying to work out a solution to solve this on all of our pages since Category:Pages with broken file links is pretty much useless to us given how many user and talk pages fill up the category. The deletion of your signature has actually added a lot of work to what we may have to do by hand, so it would be appreciated if you could have it restored.

We've also recently adopted signature rules that forbid users from making their signatures link to anywhere other than the user's pages. Though honestly, none of us had planned on what would happen if a user's signature is deleted, so I'm honestly unsure if this breaks any rules or not. (I will be asking DP about this now as well, since the rules don't cover this)

If you want to do something to make users aware of your departure, I suggest a simple note left on you userprofile or talk page. And if you want your signature changed as well, simply returning it to the default version would be fine. JustSomeDude...  Talk | 05:54, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

I don't see why, your signatures on talk pages seem to be intact. Yata Talk to me 19:12, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

Then go ahead and replace the signatures. But, I dunno where they all are. Try using the category JustSomeDude gave you. Yata Talk to me 19:23, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

This one is better to look for your signature with the template. If you want, I could do it for you. Sorry that you are leaving this wiki, although it was expected, what with the attitudes of some users. Have fun with your life, NinjaSheik :)  Jademing  Talk   19:31, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

Just replace what you can remember/find then, nobody else would complain that much anyways. Yata Talk to me 20:05, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

How nice of her. Well, cheers. Yata Talk to me 20:30, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

Alright, I'm done with changing the deleted template to your code for your signature. All broken/red links should be fixed now. Don't worry about burdening me or whatever, I have nothing to do as of now.

About the Fansubs forum, well, what is done is done. Nothing we can do about that, now the decision had been made. Apologies for the attitudes of the users here. They can be pretty harsh at times. But I know I can't make it up for you for their behaviors. Oh well. Maybe the state of this wiki will change.

Again, don't worry about me taking care of the template. I understand that you want to leave the wiki, and for good reasons, so I won't hold you back. Again, have fun with your life :)  Jademing  Talk   20:55, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

This wiki is none of my business anymore, as I have ceased editing here. I want to stay out. The users have said that they have changed, but honestly, has it? 'Cause in my eyes, they haven't. They have not changed one bit. They talk about keeping the peace, but what have they done besides letting their subjective feelings rule out their judgement? I've the forum, I've read through it. This wiki is ruled by subjective emotions, not logic. And that is why they're getting users to leave this place left and right. Their actions are roundabout, never-ending. Never with a solid conclusion, or with the right one. As much as I think that SeaTerror deserves to be ban, I don't want anything to do with this place. So thanks, but no thanks.--NinjaSheik 18:13, February 16, 2014 (UTC)
