My bad if I made it confusing, but what I meant was that, normally if two characters have the same name, the other is distinguished by country or profession if possible. It stands out less than "Non-Canon."[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 01:19, July 8, 2019 (UTC)

As an example, Race (Non-Canon) was moved to Race (Character) because the reason used by Kaido was "Better, more informative title." Same with Leo, cook is more informative than non-canon.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 01:28, July 8, 2019 (UTC)
==Re: Binge==

You can discuses it as much as you want but I doubt there will be any difference then the last time. If you're really passionate about it, just read\watch whatever you want and edit outdated pages, no one would object to it. However having it as a wiki wide project doesn't seem to be the way. So your plan is for anyone who want to contribute and keep this wiki up to date, will read the chapters, watch the episodes, find and translate the databooks and volumes and edit the relevant pages. They are not "youth groups", they are groups of children. No need for special treatment due to group members age. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 23:29, July 13, 2019 (UTC)
First of all, I'm not in America, but that's not the point. I know what binges are, the first episode of One Piece I saw was 517 (the first episode after the timeskip) as recommended to me by a friend on it's original release date (Oct 02, 2011), and then I saw the entire series till I caught up which was 527 (Dec 11, 2011) and read the from that point till the latest chapter (648, Dec 05, 2011), catching up to the series in two months while working, so I think I know what a binge is, and what a 'One Piece binge' is.

What I'm saying is, while I truly believe your idea is good, as we both saw the wiki has decided by majority to not have it as a wiki project, regardless of which wiki attendees take part in it. So again, feel free to do it yourself or ask for help from other users, and take as much time as you need until you'll fulfill your ideals and in the process improve this wiki. Did you read the [[Forum:Category Creation and Removal]]? If there are less then five pages, and it can be fitted in another category (like simply Organizations) there shouldn't be a separate category. And you can't force something into a category just so it'll fit, like calling the Usopp Pirates not real. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 23:46, July 13, 2019 (UTC)

Being a pirate and being a criminal are two different things. By your logic, the Tontatta Pirates, Ideo Pirates and Yonta Maria Grand Fleet aren't pirates, and the Straw Hats crew weren't pirates until after Arlong Park. As I said "Being a pirate and being a criminal are two different things". You just gave more examples that support my claim. Just accept that not all of your ideas for new categories are good nor acceptable after what has been decided in the forum. Not all notions pan out, this is life. Actually you did, even if you didn't noticed. You said it yourself that Luffy and Zoro were labeled pirates but they didn't commit any crime at that time. I don't know what the Sai thing was about, he is a criminal, a self declared pirate, and was in Mary Geoise. How is that relate to pirates and criminals are different? And I don't have to accept anything that there aren't even evidences to support it. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 01:29, July 14, 2019 (UTC)
I think it might be a good idea to binge watch or read, but I also think it'll be very hard to get people to set aside a specific day or week to binge. Not to mention, its A LOT of work in general to binge watch. For example, I just finished watching the Enies Lobby Arc a few months ago, and it was only until after that did I realize the Peeply Lulu page was a stub and, in all honesty, I was too lazy to rewatch just to destub. While I admit there are many pages on the wiki that lack vital information, and I have no problem with destubbing for minor characters, I'm not sure I have the time to destub everything. A lot of my focus right now is gallery portraits. That being said, I also have more interest destubbing character pages, rather than chapter/episode pages, the latter is just too tedious.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 02:17, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

You listed four pages. The required minimum is five, since those groups are already categorized under Organizations. There is also nothing significant about these groups consisting of children/teenagers. [[User:Kaido King of the Beasts|Kaido King of the Beasts]] ([[User talk:Kaido King of the Beasts|talk]]) 21:13, July 14, 2019 (UTC)
Please don't remove the Whole Cake Island Character Categories for the Totto Land Ministers, the category is for characters that were introduced at Whole Cake Island or those who were born there. Those Ministers were all introduced at Whole Cake Island, which is why they have that category.--[[User:Opera298|Opera298]] ([[User talk:Opera298|talk]]) 01:33, November 4, 2018 (UTC)

You should not combine group and location categories, because there is no guarantee in the future that all people who are introduced in a place will be affiliated with one group. If someone appears at [[Spiders Cafe]] in the future who is not affiliated with [[Baroque Works]], then you would have to do a lot of work adding the Baroque Works category back to pages you removed it from earlier. That still doesn't change anything. It's not confirmed that the old Spiders Cafe won't ever be seen again, and this is a preventative measure against other attempts to combine group and location categories that might not end so well. Group affiliation and debut location are ''completely different things'' and should not be combined. [[User:Kaido King of the Beasts|Kaido King of the Beasts]] ([[User talk:Kaido King of the Beasts|talk]]) 21:51, November 4, 2018 (UTC)

For a hypothetical example, let's say that everyone who debuted in a certain location was a Paramecia Devil Fruit user. Does that mean that the location category could replace the Devil Fruit user category? No, because them debuting in a certain location has nothing to do with their abilities. ==Groups Bounty==
I have told you multiple times to not combine group and location categories. If you want to make a large-scale change and someone disputes it, you need to discuss it before continuing with that change. Edit warring will get you blocked.

  +
groups bounty references are one that list the bounty holder and their bounties, and a second that reference when the new became the current, which is usually by joining a crew or receiving a new bounty. Personal bounty references are in the characters page. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 19:06, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

First of all, please don't redo edits while we are still talking about it. Now as for what we should do, for the I don't know how many time, if it is against what we've been doing so far, and there wasn't a talk about; START A DISCUSSION ABOUT IT IN A FORUM FIRST. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 19:18, July 30, 2019 (UTC)
Second, when doing category work like this, you REALLY need to make sure that if you are making a category page a subcat of something else, EVERYTHING in that subcat has to belong to that overall category. You can't put [[:Category:Donquixote Pirates]] under the North Blue Characters category and the Dressrosa Characters Category because A) Not all the members are from the North Blue and B) Not all of them debuted in Dressrosa.

  +
Are you serious? I am the one that should start a forum because you have an issue? And stop redoing the edits. I don't know what's the history of the Blackbeard Pirates, but one page being different doesn't mean all pages should be edited. If the only problem is the Blackbeard Pirates so a forum isn't needed, go to the page talk page. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 19:36, July 30, 2019 (UTC)
Third, going off my second point, did you read my reasoning for removing [[:Category:Families]] from the category pages? As I said previously, if you make a category page a subcat of the Families Category then that means EVERYTHING in that subcat belongs to the Families Category. So you making [[:Category:Vinsmoke Family]] a subcat of Families means that [[Vinsmoke Judge]] among others is categorized under Families. And he's not a family, he's a person.

  +
I don't want to get into the Blackbeard Pirates topic, but either way, even the Straw Hats don't have individual bounty references. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 20:16, July 30, 2019 (UTC)
Finally, why are you adding <nowiki>{{Rename}}</nowiki> to some of the category pages? That template is not meant for category pages. If you mess up when phrasing a category, then you need to mark it for deletion, remove all pages from the category, and create a new category and try again.

  +
So? [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 20:53, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

Your vandalism is for ignoring edit summary and constant disregard of wiki rules like you not referencing information you now where to find, while I simply, don't think the citation is necessary in Trivia section. So again, if YOU want to add the reference, YOU should be the one to do the whole work, and not have someone else do it for you. Just learn how to use Qref yourself. [[Wikipedia:Binge-watching|Binge]], in this case, has only one meaning: consecutive watching of a show till a certain point. You can also binge read with the same definition. Your idea for improving the pages is to binge the entire series? One saga at a time? One arc at a time? Fine, go ahead, don't drag user user into this. And my memory is not flaunted, it just help me roughly remember when each event occurred, and then I go to the source material and double check, confirm, pin point, and\or disprove the statement. You need to create another account and contact Awaikage to put a bot tag on it. I don't really see any reason to distinguish the two. It's not like the World Government Kingdoms category is so bloated that we need subcats for it. Would you still include one time riders like the Straw Hats riding on the Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops? and you still didn't explain how this would help navigate the wiki. What number of times do you think is required to be part of the riders category? Does it even matter if the character rode in different styles like Sanji who have ridden on a SSBDT, the Puffin Tom, Cerberus, a Flaying Fish, Caesar balloon, Rabiyan... I don't see how Yagara riders are different from ship riders. Also neither of those are actually an "ability" someone learn. Riding a vehicle is also different from riding an animal since the animal do most of the work. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 09:47, August 29, 2019

What you sent me refer only to steeds and two wheeled vehicles, from memory it means Smoker, Doc Q, Tonjit, Aokiji, generic Fire tank Pirates, Franky, Cavendish, Hawkins, Kin'emon, and Inuarashi. Do you know what the purpose of DISPLAYTITLE is? If not: It's used in cases where wikipedia's software can't properly display an article's title because of inner restrictions. For example, I used it [https://direngrey.wikia.com/wiki/Egnirys_cimredopyh_%2B)_an_injection here] to create an otherwise impossible underlined title. It should ''not'' be used to simply display a different title for an article. You can simply move the article if you want it to have a different title, after all. • [[User:Seelentau|Seelentau 愛]] [[User Talk:Seelentau|議]] 16:57, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

If its anyone who even ridden anything, then the category is to vague, if it is by specific riding method, and all of then are in a larger "Riders" category it would be more easy to navigate, '''but''' you still didn't show any necessity for this category, nor relevant to an existing parent category. What's your point? That statements without references shroud by referenced? Agreed. Do you really think placing a template that says a statement has no reference helps more then just adding the reference yourself? Or deleting the statement and having the person who want to add it back find the reference? Stating that something is missing doesn't means that's that. You need to either find the reference, or delete the speculation. Flagging it does not help anything. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 09:31, January 22, 2019 (UTC)

Rgilbert, I appreciate your ideas about policies and potential pages, but please, if you have an idea, make a forum about it instead of only halfway explaining it during an article discussion (like merging short pages on the Decuplets page). To respond to your idea about a minimum byte size, I wholeheartedly disagree. Any kind of minimum standard would seem arbitrary, and as the person who has worked on the most stubs/low-byte-count pages, I think it does not make sense. What would your scenario look like? How would you merge a character into another page? Would you just have multiple sections for individuals on a crew page? And what would the byte size requirement even be? If you're going to keep suggesting ideas, I (and others) need more details.

Umm, I could do that, but you would also be able to, it's pretty simple, just crop the image to a perfect square and then upload with the name + Portrait.png. But I'm not sure it is a good idea, because if we make it square, then it cuts out a large part of the island's image, so its hard in terms of making it look right.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 23:55, January 22, 2020 (UTC)
2. Haphazardly starting new projects and expecting others to clean up after you, as well as deliberately continuing to make the same kind of edits while the old ones are still under fire. When you were specifically told not to do that. The talk pages didn't get anywhere because you created half a dozen more categories before they could even start.

I don't know how to make a wikitable. sounds hard lol. But I can't make good portraits if the original image is really wide. Like for the Yukiryu Island Infobox. Its dimensions are 404x173. I would need to make it 173x173, which cuts out a good chunk of the image.--[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 03:57, January 24, 2020 (UTC)

Also, the Confirm template's main purpose is to be put on statements that you're not sure are true, to encourage the person who added it to ''confirm'' it. If you do know that a statement is true, ''and'' you know its source, adding the Confirm template is '''not''' a productive edit. Did it take long to write up the references on the Shimotsuki Family page? I don't think it took longer than any of the edit wars revolving around your usage of the Confirm template - which, since it's your edit that's being disputed, means the onus is on you to talk it out (though simply adding the references would likely be easier). Your behavior is not productive for the wiki, it has done nothing to prevent false information, and I would invite you to look for better ways to spend your time here, else your behavior is seen as disruptive and a ban forum is made for you. You do realize that what you're saying about Rhavkin also applied to you before you finally added the references? Yes, Rhavkin would have been more productive by adding the references instead of undoing your edit, but it wasn't like you were being productive by adding Confirm templates to statements that you KNEW the source of. I can't stop ST from doing anything, but learn from your mistakes! Talk about the specific category you'd like to add '''before''' you make it. I suggest you start a forum about re-categorization and every time something new pop into your mind write it there. When you do, have at least a partial list of the page you'd like to be placed in the new category, and give a reason: "There are enough of them to have their own category...", "The current category is to crawdad and\or miss-informative...", etc. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 04:27, April 5, 2019 (UTC)

The problem with Rgilbert's refusal to actually add sources instead of the confirm tag goes deeper then that:

  +
#[[User talk:Rgilbert27#Another "confirm" issue]]

  +
And no matter how much I try to explain it to him, or try to help if there are questions or misunderstandings, this is just blunt refusal to do any work, to the point it is disruptive to other works. I tried to start referencing all the truly [[One Piece Wiki:Missing References|Missing References]] but it did not get much attention, so I put it on the back burner, and while I asked for the minimal help by adding which statement needs referencing, and despite Rgilbert claim he doesn't know how things work, the refusal to learn is not beneficial to the wiki.

One has nothing to do with the other. You are the one who went over the page, you are the one that decide the statement should be sourced instead of deleting for being speculation, meaning '''you''' know it's true so you also can add the reference, so I am asking you: Do you know how to use the referencing template {{T|Qref}}? The [[Talk:Grand Line#Gallery Template|discussion]] is still open on whether or not to use your gallery. '''Kaido''' and '''Rhavkin''' have suggested a table or a wide list respectively instead, neither of which require portraits. So it's be pointless to upload them right now.
Adding a reference is very different from writing long summaries, and I don't have time to go over every unconfirmed statement. You however have shown time and again your passion to re-read\watch the series as a whole many times, so '''if''' you could also reference while you re-read\watch that would solve both problems. That is not an adequate substitute. The point of the VGchar Navibox is so that people can find other characters from video games. Unless there is a Navibox made for the Unlimited Series, there will be no sufficient substitute. Also, they don't need a new color scheme; just use the video game one. Instead of waiting for other people to do work for you, try to learn how to do it yourself. That's how I got to where I am. I taught myself how to do almost everything, and now I don't have to rely on anyone else. The entire wiki is volunteer work, so if you aren't willing to put any work in, stop removing templates and telling people what to do. {{User:Montblanc_Noland/Sig1}} 09:37, April 19, 2019 (UTC)

You really need to stop bringing it up as excuses for your bad edits. Watching\reading the series all over again wouldn't guaranteed the sources would be added, plus, in this case one would only need to re=watch\read the ending of Impel Down Arc to the Post War arc. Longer? Yes, but If you'd look in my history, you'll see I was warned and banned several times until I learn how to it properly, and I'm still learning. Coding is the same. Let's me make something clear: I agree that rewatching and rereading is the best way to expand, clearify, and fix some of the problem pages. Just to give you a fair warning, I am going to remove the "Displaytitle" template from most of the pages it is on. The purpose of that template is not to obscure parenthetical additions to names that are the same as other pages, it is to add characters that cannot normally be a part of the article name and do things like italicize when necessary. Retaining the parenthetical notes on certain page titles aids in user navigation, and there is no need to use Displaytitle to obscure them. The issue with that is that draft pages count as personal pages, and images used for personal reasons is not permitted. There is no reason to remove the "References" section just because one link broke. There is no reason to do that. It is simply counterproductive. And instead of adding a confirm template, did you try looking for the information online?
  +
  +
You also violated the [[One Piece Wiki:Guidebook/Referencing Information#Handling Unreferenced Information|Referencing Guidelines]] by adding a Confirm template to Usakkov, Tsunokkov, and Francois' Japanese names. The Japanese os verified, and we don't ever add Confirm templates or references to those. You could've even gone to Google Translate to check if they were valid. I auggest you read the new policy before proceding. {{User:Montblanc_Noland/Sig1}} 09:49, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

==Image Sources==
  +
Hi, first I want to say thanks for doing the Season ? Episode Images. I sometimes miss updating them when I'm just replacing with cropped images. Second, there's no need to delete duplicate sources. I've noticed that you remove sourcing for some images if they repeat. Like for example if it says Episode 700 twice on the Sources page. That shouldn't be done because the images are supposed to correspond with the order of the sources. If you remove a duplicate source, people won't know where which image comes from.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 23:54, June 30, 2020 (UTC)
  +

Well that's what the sources are for: to find where each image came from. If they are removed, it makes it hard to find where the images came from. And yes, I know some images were miscategorized, that's why I thank you for doing it. Also, in my opinion, I don't think a Past section is necessary. The sources are already pretty clear that the ones on the bottom are old ones. What you are trying to do is pointless. Read [[Template:Sort]] notes. Since the pages aren't <code>Word #</code> but <code>Vol.#</code> (without space) it wouldn't identify the number as a number, just digits. [[User:Rhavkin|Rhavkin]] ([[User talk:Rhavkin|talk]]) 05:33, July 11, 2020 (UTC)

I really don't understand what point your trying to make. You said there was no source. I repeatedly gave you the source (if you want the specific episodes, then it's possible to find one or two in the sources for the portraits). However, you just keep deleting them and claiming there's no source when I keep mentioning it. Now you say there's no pages, but no pages does not equal unsourced.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 05:07, July 13, 2020 (UTC)
  +
  +
Again, they aren't real names. And I am pretty sure the wiki won't allow them to be made, but that does not mean we go and remove it just because it doesn't have a page. There is no rule on the wiki that says "If no page is made, name must be deleted." The anime credited them as Hyoutauros and Kirintauros. They aren't actual names, so I am not in the position to argue with wiki rules.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 05:19, July 13, 2020 (UTC)
  +
  +
What do you mean I've been sitting on this for a year and a half. Before I updated them, it said Leopard Centaur and we aren't supposed to translate stuff on wiki. So I put what they are credited as because that is the most accurate. I find there no need to create a page for something in which even myself does not believe is a real name. If you want there to be a page, then you can make it, but it will likely be subject to scrutiny because there will be people that say "This is not a real name." But just because there is no page, does not mean it is not the correct terminology. If anything, you can consider it a subspecies of [[Centaurs]]. We can put animal species' names in galleries and they do not need to have their own page.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 05:46, July 13, 2020 (UTC)
  +
  +
Again, I don't think they are allowed to have a page by wiki precedent. Taking it up with me is useless, all I'm stating is the names have sources and there you have it. If you want to bring it up in the talk page for centaurs or wherever that they should have a page, go for it, I'll support that. But you can't force someone to write a page for what isn't allowed. All I am saying is even if there is no page, does not mean you can delete stuff, especially since you kept mentioning sources which was clearly not the problem. That is a really counterproductive way of trying to highlight a completely different issue.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 06:16, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

They are credited in the credits. I cannot show you, you need to look at that yourself like any other character. And again, they are not real names, more like species names. I'm not even sure we allowed to list them on episode or chapter pages, because again (in my opinion) they aren't real names. We don't list stuff like "Mocha's mom" in episode character lists either because they aren't real names.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 06:40, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

No rule against that. If you want, I'll create their own section for them on the Centaur page when I have the time, but it's probably going to be short and go in the trivia section as I don't really want to rewatch or reread Punk Hazard at this point.[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 06:54, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

That's good that you made that page, but that one has an actual name. This name is more of a description, but my point is, it is more accurate than Leopard Centaur or Giraffe Centaur because if you direct translate then it would be Leopardtaur and Giraffetaur, especially since even the English versions credited it as Hyoutauros and Kirintauros.--[[User:Nightmare Pirates|Nightmare Pirates]] ([[User talk:Nightmare Pirates|talk]]) 07:08, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

Not to jump in the middle of a discussion, and this might not even be related (I haven't read your discussion so far), but as I was trying to say to Rgilbert27, a character name reference shouldn't be on the group page. If there is enough content for a page or section per character, that fine, but if there is not enough for a single paragraph it is better suited elsewhere. Maybe include Luffy meeting then in the group history section and mention their names there and have a reference to both the event and the naming. The members section is used for descriptions in very few times ([[Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops]], [[Tsumegeri Guards]], [[Heart Pirates]], etc.). Funny. I don't think you were that concerned about referencing for whoever wrote that personality section previously.
  +

I'll put them later. Rewriting articles to make them presentable is difficult, double so if I have to interrupt myself to check the exact chapter and page something happens. Triple so when there were no references to begin with, so I can't just edit them. It's a time-consuming task.
  +
  +
At least I'm trying to do something for those articles instead of bothering the work of others. It's frankly ridiculous when many of those articles contain false info, contradictions and blatant mistakes, but your concern is with references. I know it's important to source, but this stance is almost hypocritical when everything's so badly written, with many articles needing rework. Yes I know how to leave a reference.
  +
  +
A double {, followed by the Ref. Then you put in a divider |, whatever that thing is actually called.
  +
  +
You type “name=c“ followed by the chapter number. You add dividers and do the same for the page number of the chapter that the info can be found on, as well as the episode number if it’s already been in the anime. Substituting the “c” for a “p” and “e” respectively.
  +
  +
Another divider and a sentence describing the reference.
  +

I mean, you could include a reference by their name next to the SBS reference that notes that they were also named in an episode. But I don't really think the page gains anything by mentioning that they were first named in an anime episode, unless there is a discrepancy which there isn't in this instance. What's important is giving a source for the character's name, and the SBS is a much better source than anime credits. What do you mean by other pages being overlooked? I still don't see why it is necessary. There is nothing major about a character first being named in a non-canon source before being named in a canon one; it's happened to over 3 dozen characters. At the end of the day, the aim is to provide a source for the recently named characters, and the SBS is far better than the anime in achieving that goal. Why is a character being named by a non-canon source and then a canon source significant? I still fail to see how that necessitates mentioning. If a character was named in the manga, it really makes no difference if they were named in the anime beforehand, unless the anime name was different. If they were named in the anime but not the manga/SBS, they'll get a page with the category you linked until they are named in canon. Your talk about "repeating history" creates the impression that some sort of issue occurred with this topic in the past. Please limit the amount of really minor characters you put into the galleries. Re:Character Infoboxes[edit source]

Just copy-paste an existing one, and change the data. Rhavkin (talk) 04:06, June 28, 2019 (UTC)

If any user have problems with anything that is worth keeping, the wiki as a community will help fix them. Rhavkin (talk) 09:41, June 28, 2019 (UTC)

Leo (Non-Canon)[edit source]

My bad if I made it confusing, but what I meant was that, normally if two characters have the same name, the other is distinguished by country or profession if possible. It stands out less than "Non-Canon."Nightmare Pirates (talk) 01:19, July 8, 2019 (UTC)

As an example, Race (Non-Canon) was moved to Race (Character) because the reason used by Kaido was "Better, more informative title." Same with Leo, cook is more informative than non-canon.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 01:28, July 8, 2019 (UTC)

Re: Categories[edit source]

Like who for example? Rhavkin (talk) 23:13, July 13, 2019 (UTC)

They are not "youth groups", they are groups of children. No need for special treatment due to group members age. Rhavkin (talk) 23:29, July 13, 2019 (UTC)

Did you read the Forum:Category Creation and Removal? If there are less then five pages, and it can be fitted in another category (like simply Organizations) there shouldn't be a separate category. And you can't force something into a category just so it'll fit, like calling the Usopp Pirates not real. Rhavkin (talk) 23:46, July 13, 2019 (UTC)

Being a pirate and being a criminal are two different things. By your logic, the Tontatta Pirates, Ideo Pirates and Yonta Maria Grand Fleet aren't pirates, and the Straw Hats crew weren't pirates until after Arlong Park. Rhavkin (talk) 00:54, July 14, 2019 (UTC)

As I said "Being a pirate and being a criminal are two different things". You just gave more examples that support my claim. Just accept that not all of your ideas for new categories are good nor acceptable after what has been decided in the forum. Not all notions pan out, this is life. Rhavkin (talk) 01:05, July 14, 2019 (UTC)

Rhavkin (talk) 01:29, July 14, 2019 (UTC)

Re:Youth Groups[edit source]

Like what? Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 20:06, July 14, 2019 (UTC)

You listed four pages. The required minimum is five, since those groups are already categorized under Organizations. There is also nothing significant about these groups consisting of children/teenagers. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 21:13, July 14, 2019 (UTC)

Not unless there is any significance in the ages of the members. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 00:31, July 15, 2019 (UTC)

Block[edit source]

You have been told, multiple times, not to make large changes to the history sections without discussing it first. In light of your actions this morning, you have been blocked for one week. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 14:02, July 15, 2019 (UTC)

What's wrong with discord? Still did you look at the edits before changing them this time around?Rgilbert27 (talk) 14:39, July 15, 2019 (UTC)

Mt. Atama Thieves[edit source]

Rg, please stop remove "ep=" and qref names from references. They are important parts of references. Thanks. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 23:28, July 26, 2019 (UTC)

Groups Bounty[edit source]

groups bounty references are one that list the bounty holder and their bounties, and a second that reference when the new became the current, which is usually by joining a crew or receiving a new bounty. Personal bounty references are in the characters page. Rhavkin (talk) 19:06, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

First of all, please don't redo edits while we are still talking about it. Now as for what we should do, for the I don't know how many time, if it is against what we've been doing so far, and there wasn't a talk about; START A DISCUSSION ABOUT IT IN A FORUM FIRST. Rhavkin (talk) 19:18, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

Rhavkin (talk) 19:36, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

I don't want to get into the Blackbeard Pirates topic, but either way, even the Straw Hats don't have individual bounty references. Rhavkin (talk) 20:16, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

So? Rhavkin (talk) 20:53, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

Still doesn't change the fact we don't use personal bounty references. Rhavkin (talk) 21:38, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

You're being very rude. I'm trying to explain your mistakes so you won't repeat them, and you don't have to replay to the messages as soon as you receive them, that's on you to make your scheduled with other project, and it's not like I can guess what you're doing at any time. Go head and what you want, it will still be undo and you will eventually be banned again.

And the Straw Hats don't have personal bounty references, just like any other crew. Rhavkin (talk) 21:59, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

Vandalism
Your recent edit has been construed as vandalism. Please check our Vandalism Guidelines, and General Rules to avoid making further problems on the One Piece Wiki that could possibly lead to a ban. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Stop making more categories when nobody agrees with the ones you make. SeaTerror (talk) 18:57, August 15, 2019 (UTC)

Whole Cake Chateau Rooftop Characters had a consensus for deletion. It's part of the issue of category spam in general, which people are opposed to. Awaikage Talk 09:10, August 17, 2019 (UTC)

Another "confirm" issue[edit source]

Your vandalism is for ignoring edit summary and constant disregard of wiki rules like you not referencing information you now where to find, while I simply, don't think the citation is necessary in Trivia section. So again, if YOU want to add the reference, YOU should be the one to do the whole work, and not have someone else do it for you. Just learn how to use Qref yourself. Rhavkin (talk) 20:46, August 25, 2019 (UTC)

Yes, I do know how to use it, but way should I use it for something you want to add? And if you think any reference should be on any page, just add it. Why can't you understand that the {{Confirm}} is for statements with no known source, and not for a missing {{Qref}}? Rhavkin (talk) 21:28, August 25, 2019 (UTC)

You read the manga and watch the anime. Rhavkin (talk) 04:55, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

You don't need to read the whole manga every year to fix your overusing {{confirm}} on Wano arc. Are you using {{confirm}} just to gain support for you binge idea? Rhavkin (talk) 05:04, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

If you want to fix any problem with any page, then fix it, don't create more works for someone else. Rhavkin (talk) 05:40, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

So it's a large task that will take sometime. Still, if YOU want to do it, YOU do the work. Rhavkin (talk) 05:56, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

You're going personal; it is not. I'm not saying I'm better, but why should I do the work for something you want to do? Rhavkin (talk) 06:12, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

No, I do not a source for cliff notes, just somewhat good memory. And the time you spend reading articles without referencing, adding {{confirm}}, and arguing, you could have reread whatever you wanted. Your last excuse was you wanted to watch the MCU films before the new one, and now you mention reading the Harry Potter books before the last one, It seem that you like rebingeing so why not do it in your own time. Rhavkin (talk) 06:38, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

Binge, in this case, has only one meaning: consecutive watching of a show till a certain point. Rhavkin (talk) 07:22, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

I stream it, and if you believe it can help go ahead and do it. Don't force others to do it for you. Rhavkin (talk) 07:54, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

Using the {{confirm}} instead of doing the work yourself forces other to reread\rewatch for the source. You can google search for "Watch One Piece online" and pick any site you want. Rhavkin (talk) 08:03, August 26, 2019 (UTC)

Re: Rider[edit source]

My English is far from best, are you talking about a category for characters who rides on a vehicle or an animal? Rhavkin (talk) 16:03, August 28, 2019 (UTC)

But aren't like roughly 80% of the characters we've seen so far has ridden a boat? That is a massive category that doesn't give much. Rhavkin (talk) 20:29, August 28, 2019 (UTC)

Would you still include one time riders like the Straw Hats riding on the Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops? and you still didn't explain how this would help navigate the wiki. Which parent category were you thinking about adding this category to? are all reverent character already part of that category? Rhavkin (talk) 04:19, August 29, 2019 (UTC)

Rhavkin (talk) 09:47, August 29, 2019

What you sent me refer only to steeds and two wheeled vehicles, from memory it means Smoker, Doc Q, Tonjit, Aokiji, generic Fire tank Pirates, Franky, Cavendish, Hawkins, Kin'emon, and Inuarashi. Now, how will this help navigate the wiki better? Rhavkin (talk) 10:57, August 29, 2019 (UTC)

The link you gave me has "One who rides, often on a horse or a motorcycle." If its anyone who even ridden anything, then the category is to vague, if it is by specific riding method, and all of then are in a larger "Riders" category it would be more easy to navigate, but you still didn't show any necessity for this category, nor relevant to an existing parent category. Rhavkin (talk) 12:17, August 29, 2019 (UTC)

The name is not the problem, is it needed? what problem does it solve? adding an additional category without benefit like downsizing an overcrowded existing category, or for a new power\ability users, and for the sole reason of having it existing is pointless. Not harmful or against the rules, but many users will object to it just becuse it has no real value. Rhavkin (talk) 13:16, August 29, 2019 (UTC)

It isn't a question of who can do it, it is a question about what makes "someone who rides an animal or a bike" into a raider fitting the category. Rhavkin (talk) 18:54, August 29, 2019 (UTC)

I agree with Rhavkin that such a category is unnecessary, since it is not an occupation and could potentially be applied to just about anyone. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 03:45, September 1, 2019 (UTC)

Sure. Do you have a list of topics that needs a CS? Do you have a specific colors in mind? Rhavkin (talk) 18:42, September 15, 2019 (UTC)

Why should Movie 1 have one if almost none of the other movies has one? And Mary Geoise is part of the World Government who has a color scheme. Rhavkin (talk) 03:45, September 16, 2019 (UTC)

Re:One Piece Stampede Cast[edit source]

I can count 90 books in the image, but it is hard to make out which volumes are they. Rhavkin (talk) 05:01, September 17, 2019 (UTC)

Chapter 691[edit source]

The color spread for the chapter is four pages wide rather than the normal two. The events of the chapter start on page five, not three. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 00:27, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Talk page, not edit war. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 20:29, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Here is a site that has the chapter as it is printed in the volume. You can see it has been split into four pages. Rhavkin (talk) 20:53, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

You do realize this link also shows the color spread spanning four pages? The ToC also lists that Chapter 691 spans pages 7-27; that's 21 pages. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 21:38, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

As far as I know, VIZ do not change the page numbering and\or order, just text, but as Nesha linked above, the Japanese does show four pages. As for the magazine release, it would be nearly impossible to find a proper version so far back, and either way, even if the magazine did split it in two, the volume version that split it four ways is what we go by as we make final ruling based on that release. Rhavkin (talk) 21:47, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Not unless there is a proof the magazine release has a different split. Rhavkin (talk) 21:57, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Blogs from the time of the magazine issue's release mention a 4-page (4ページ?) spread: 1 2 Dragonus Nesha (talk) 22:07, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Well its too late now, and who said there was a definite reason behind it? It is a four page color spread, end of story. There is no deeper reason for it to be four pages long just as there is no deeper reason for some chapters being 15, 17, or 19 pages long. Rhavkin (talk) 22:15, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Also, if the only issue is the cover page, I think it has been well established that the number of pages is correct, and I will edit the section on the Cover Page page momentarily. Rhavkin (talk) 22:24, September 20, 2019 (UTC)

Re: Dressrosa Images[edit source]

I'll try, but I can't guarantee that I will. Do you know any specific episodes with good images of what you're requesting? I'd rather not go through the whole arc searching for them. I don't have time for that, anyway.

Re: Events[edit source]

Maybe. If I think there is enough for a page and i have time and patience to do the work of editing a page and adding the necessary references myself as best as I could. Rhavkin (talk) 00:17, November 2, 2019 (UTC)

Still the same amount of work re-reading the chapters, identifying relevant information and adding the references. Rhavkin (talk) 01:06, November 2, 2019 (UTC)

No, We don't know the time it happened, the actual named of those involve, or a clear aftermath. We only know it happened and that the unnamed woman used it to convince Orochi to take the shogunate some time later. You can try building a page in your sandbox and see how much can actually be include there and if you think it is good enough, send me a link and ask again. Re:Anime Credit[edit source]

Possibly, but I'm not sure if it's necessary. The names are already referenced on the articles. Awaikage Talk 18:36, November 14, 2019 (UTC)

Re:Stampede[edit source]

I'm not going to write the summaries for you, if that's why you're asking. If you find sections are lacking in information, then take the time to add to what's there rather than removing someone else's work. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 21:04, November 14, 2019 (UTC)

Whether or not I've seen the movie is irrelevant since your edit summaries ("He/She did more than that.") already acknowledge that the information is true. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 22:07, November 14, 2019 (UTC)

Again, if you find sections are lacking in information, then take the time to add to what's there. That includes fixing words that you find misleading. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 23:22, November 14, 2019 (UTC)

I don't care how little there is, you DO NOT replace information with the empty section template unless it is vandalism. A little information is better than no information. In the time you've spent edit warring and talking back and forth about this you could have easily updated at least one character's history. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 01:00, November 15, 2019 (UTC)

Yes. I wrote the summary on the film's page and will work on updates as I have the time. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 07:24, November 15, 2019 (UTC)

I am begging you to answer to the point, why do you add the Confirm template instead of simply adding the information? Rhavkin (talk) 04:24, November 16, 2019 (UTC)

Luffy's Relationships[edit source]

Please stop. You are undoing two things without a reason. The header shouldn't be in the center. Also, "can be necessary" isn't a good enough reason to divert from the standard usage of files on pages. Rhavkin (talk) 19:35, January 1, 2020 (UTC)

Fixing the header and an image on a page doesn't make a page better? Rhavkin (talk) 19:54, January 1, 2020 (UTC)

That is not a valid reason. The contents box are default set to show, and that is what the page should take into account. Personal preferences are just that, personal. Do not drag this into an edit war and talk to and admin or a mod. Rhavkin (talk) 20:11, January 1, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Portraits[edit source]

Umm, I could do that, but you would also be able to, it's pretty simple, just crop the image to a perfect square and then upload with the name + Portrait.png. But I'm not sure it is a good idea, because if we make it square, then it cuts out a large part of the island's image, so its hard in terms of making it look right.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 23:55, January 22, 2020 (UTC)

I don't know how to make a wikitable. sounds hard lol. But I can't make good portraits if the original image is really wide. Like for the Yukiryu Island Infobox. Its dimensions are 404x173. I would need to make it 173x173, which cuts out a good chunk of the image.--Nightmare Pirates (talk) 03:57, January 24, 2020 (UTC)

Edit Summaries[edit source]

Edit summaries such as this are unacceptable. This is your first warning. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 03:38, January 31, 2020 (UTC)

Also, the Confirm template's main purpose is to be put on statements that you're not sure are true, to encourage the person who added it to confirm it. If you do know that a statement is true, and you know its source, adding the Confirm template is not a productive edit. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 03:57, January 31, 2020 (UTC)

You do realize that what you're saying about Rhavkin also applied to you before you finally added the references? Yes, Rhavkin would have been more productive by adding the references instead of undoing your edit, but it wasn't like you were being productive by adding Confirm templates to statements that you KNEW the source of. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 05:03, January 31, 2020 (UTC)

The problem with Rgilbert's refusal to actually add sources instead of the confirm tag goes deeper then that:

  1. User talk:Rgilbert27/Archive 3#Confirm
  2. User talk:Rgilbert27/Archive 4#Confirm again
  3. User talk:Rgilbert27/Archive 4#Wano Confirms
  4. User talk:Rgilbert27#Another "confirm" issue

And no matter how much I try to explain it to him, or try to help if there are questions or misunderstandings, this is just blunt refusal to do any work, to the point it is disruptive to other works. I tried to start referencing all the truly Missing References but it did not get much attention, so I put it on the back burner, and while I asked for the minimal help by adding which statement needs referencing, and despite Rgilbert claim he doesn't know how things work, the refusal to learn is not beneficial to the wiki.

Back to the topic, what references did you think should be added? One of at least one Amatsuki Family member living in Wano, at last one outside of it, at last one of the Shimotsuki Family member living in Wano, and at last one outside of it? Four references for a trivia is too much. You seem to only add the template just for the edit without any thought or reasoning behind it. Rhavkin (talk) 21:53, February 2, 2020 (UTC)

The discussion is still open on whether or not to use your gallery. Kaido and Rhavkin have suggested a table or a wide list respectively instead, neither of which require portraits. So it's be pointless to upload them right now.

Chapter 12[edit source]

Color spread are two pages. Rhavkin (talk) 19:24, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

Where is it sideways? Rhavkin (talk) 19:39, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

Chapter page. Rhavkin (talk) 19:56, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

Yes. Rhavkin (talk) 20:18, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

  1. The wiki page of the chapter. The cover is horizontal.
  2. Colored where? the digitally colored manga? Defiantly not the only one, that the point of that release. The volume release? wasn't colored. The SJ magazine? I highly doubt it, while I don't have to original magazine release, but I am not aware of any full colored chapter in SJ.

Rhavkin (talk) 20:34, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

  1. Look at the image in the chapter page. There are two pages numbers on the bottom! What else do you need?
  2. Can you prove it or is it just your personal observation?

Rhavkin (talk) 21:13, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

  1. If you don't see them I can't help you.
  2. The fact that other mangas have one does not mean One Piece has one, nor that if it does, it is this chapter.

Re: Images[edit source]

If I agree with the necessity for an image, have a good enough source, and time, I might be able to help. Rhavkin (talk) 21:12, February 9, 2020 (UTC)

The village was shown very small on top of an hill, or with the minks walking around so there is not a good image IMO. Since it is very close to the anime adaptation, it might be best to wait a week or two. Rhavkin (talk) 22:02, February 9, 2020 (UTC)

We've never actually seen the port so the image of the scabbards in its ruins should suffice. If there wasn't an existing image however, I would be against uploading one, since even this image doesn't rally shows the port. Rhavkin (talk) 23:27, February 9, 2020 (UTC)

Don't you want to learn how to do it yourself? Rhavkin (talk) 11:16, February 14, 2020 (UTC)

So is your answer "No, I want someone else to do the work I want to accomplish, even though I could learn how to it myself with the help of fellow users, because..." Rhavkin (talk) 15:12, February 18, 2020 (UTC)

You know, not answering doesn't make you a better editor or a contributor to the fandom. Rhavkin (talk) 15:22, February 20, 2020 (UTC)

What about it? Rhavkin (talk) 18:31, February 20, 2020 (UTC)

To what? The problem is your lack of willing to do it, not how. Do you know how to work with that feature? Are you comfortable with using this tool? Are you planning on using this tool? Is the cropping tool the only problem you had with uploading images? Rhavkin (talk) 18:51, February 20, 2020 (UTC)

What makes you think you need to be "tech-savy" to do this? Rhavkin (talk) 19:07, February 20, 2020 (UTC)

Longer? Yes, but If you'd look in my history, you'll see I was warned and banned several times until I learn how to it properly, and I'm still learning. Coding is the same. In the {{Qref}} talk page, I asked for help, saw that no one responded so I learned some of it myself. From experience, you do not need any special tools to add images. I found the rest on the same site. Special 2: https://www.iqiyi.com/v_19rro4h238.html. I can't get onto Special 3 and 4 for some reason though even with the unblocker extension (its called Unblock Youku).Nightmare Pirates (talk) 04:06, April 26, 2020 (UTC)

Jibuemon[edit source]

If you would go to Jibuemon's page, and look at the reference, then go to the chapters he appeared, you would discover that in the second reference, he is seen giving orders to the men. Rhavkin (talk) 12:50, March 23, 2020 (UTC)

  1. As I said, the references section is a list of appearance. If done properly, it has the chapter, specific page(s), and if available the episode, as well as a description.
  2. At the end of the day, all the time Luffy is called captain are "A couple of panels". Instructing the men on how to act, which is what he did in those "couple of panels", is what a leader does.

Rhavkin (talk) 14:00, March 23, 2020 (UTC)

  1. It should. For the most part anyway, ans for all key information. If you feel a certain page lack references, due add them.
  2. I gave the most general example for a reason. I could have just as easily mentioned any fact:
    • Oden cutting Kaido - 1 panel
    • Kaido shoot Oden - 1 panel
    • Kanjuro real name - 1 panel
    • etc.

Aight, can you explain your edits on that category a little more? I still don't really understand the difference it makes and would appreciate a full explanation.

And while "wtf" is far from a good edit summary, if someone disputes your edit, it is your responsibility to explain yourself in the edit summary if you add it back. Re:Haredas[edit source]

Hello Rgilbert27. Though I felt frustrated when the edit conflict occurred, I am more concerned with the misuse of the template and with your behavior toward our other contributor, Rhavkin. I am sympathetic to your situation, as I have a cousin who also suffers from Asperger syndrome. I also read your blog, and I appreciate that you wanted to start a conversation to check in with other uses. I only opened the forum because you did not change your use of the Confirm template or your behavior toward Rhavkin when members of staff like Kaido and me asked and later warned you about them. I think that you have good intentions overall with your work here, and you can still make your case in the forum. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 19:24, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Merged Images[edit source]

Sorry, I don't know how to make merged images.

I also can't rename File:Gear Fourth Infobox.png since it has been protected so that only users with administrator privileges can move it.

🏴‍☠️👸🏻 (talk) 08:40, May 7, 2020 (UTC)

Protections for editing, moving & uploading are all separate; pages can be made so that normal users can edit but only privileged users can move.

🏴‍☠️👸🏻 (talk) 07:35, May 8, 2020 (UTC)

Why did you upload a new (& lower quality) file when you could've asked an admin to rename the old 1 for you?

🏴‍☠️👸🏻 (talk) 07:55, May 8, 2020 (UTC)
  1. The file has a talk page that needs to be moved with it.
  2. I don't know why I can't move it since content mods should be able to edit/move/upload protected pages.
  3. Any admin will probably do, but Kaido's the one who protected it.

Fair Warning: Displaytitle[edit source]

Just to give you a fair warning, I am going to remove the "Displaytitle" template from most of the pages it is on. The purpose of that template is not to obscure parenthetical additions to names that are the same as other pages, it is to add characters that cannot normally be a part of the article name and do things like italicize when necessary. Retaining the parenthetical notes on certain page titles aids in user navigation, and there is no need to use Displaytitle to obscure them. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 22:17, May 18, 2020 (UTC)

re:Images[edit source]

The issue with that is that draft pages count as personal pages, and images used for personal reasons is not permitted. You have to wait until the pages come into the series before you can upload those images, or find another place to use those images that are not personal. Yata Talk to me 00:38, May 28, 2020 (UTC)

If you can use those images on non-personal pages, I can restore them. But they were left unused for an entire day, I thought they were essentially dead. Yata Talk to me 01:31, May 28, 2020 (UTC)

Linking to draft pages is not enough. They must be used on public pages, and at the time of deletion, they were not. Yata Talk to me 03:05, May 28, 2020 (UTC)

Zombie Images[edit source]

I would like to ask about User:Rgilbert27/Draft Page/Gallery, as we do not allow uploading images for personal use, and so the longer those images stay on your draft page the more likely they are to be deleted. Are you intending to put these images into an article? Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 00:44, June 3, 2020 (UTC)

So I saw your posts on Yata's talk page on this topic. Unless you are willing to create those sections yourself in the near future, I am going to delete the images. You can keep them stored on your device, and upload them to the wiki when those sections you want are created. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 00:52, June 3, 2020 (UTC)

Dance Battle[edit source]

There is no reason to remove the "References" section just because one link broke. There is no reason to do that. It is simply counterproductive. And instead of adding a confirm template, did you try looking for the information online?

You also violated the Referencing Guidelines by adding a Confirm template to Usakkov, Tsunokkov, and Francois' Japanese names. The Japanese os verified, and we don't ever add Confirm templates or references to those. You could've even gone to Google Translate to check if they were valid. I auggest you read the new policy before proceding. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 09:49, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

If you have suggestions for policy changes, you need to consult an admin or make a forum.

I'm not advocating for broken links. I'm asking you to help fix them.

Like I said, we never reference Japanese names. Not sure why you're singling out a few pages. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 11:46, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

You can certainly consult me, but I am not the one who changes the handbook. Personally, I don't think we need a policy on broken links because there are methods to find other sources (either WayBack Machine like I did on the Dance Battle page or finding an alternate source).

They were named in Vivre Card. I added the references to Usakkov and Tsunokkov now, and Kaido added a reference on Francois's page. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 15:19, June 27, 2020 (UTC)

Portraits[edit source]

Hey Rgilbert! I wanted to remind you that portraits need to be square. I fixed a few of your recent uploads to match that. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 19:55, June 29, 2020 (UTC)

I just mean that the height and width need to be the same (ex. 150 x 150 instead of 150 x 165). Montblanc Noland :: Talk 09:59, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

Also, we are allowed to source official artwork we don't have pages for. Not everything needs a page. We use external sources often. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 10:43, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

Okay. If you think it should be made, I encourage you to do so. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 13:50, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

Image Sources[edit source]

Hi, first I want to say thanks for doing the Season ? Episode Images. I sometimes miss updating them when I'm just replacing with cropped images. Second, there's no need to delete duplicate sources. I've noticed that you remove sourcing for some images if they repeat. Like for example if it says Episode 700 twice on the Sources page. That shouldn't be done because the images are supposed to correspond with the order of the sources. If you remove a duplicate source, people won't know where which image comes from.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 23:54, June 30, 2020 (UTC)

Well that's what the sources are for: to find where each image came from. If they are removed, it makes it hard to find where the images came from. And yes, I know some images were miscategorized, that's why I thank you for doing it. I'm just apologizing if I ever miss updating it by accident.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 00:25, July 1, 2020 (UTC)

Also, in my opinion, I don't think a Past section is necessary. The sources are already pretty clear that the ones on the bottom are old ones. I know the sources sometimes get messy (people revert back and forth), but it still gives a general gist of where something came from.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 00:32, July 1, 2020 (UTC)

I get that, but I'm talking about the old sources.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 04:25, July 1, 2020 (UTC)

Sorting OPM[edit source]

What you are trying to do is pointless. Read Template:Sort notes. Since the pages aren't Word # but Vol.# (without space) it wouldn't identify the number as a number, just digits. Rhavkin (talk) 05:33, July 11, 2020 (UTC)

Centaurs[edit source]

I really don't understand what point your trying to make. You said there was no source. I repeatedly gave you the source (if you want the specific episodes, then it's possible to find one or two in the sources for the portraits). However, you just keep deleting them and claiming there's no source when I keep mentioning it. Now you say there's no pages, but no pages does not equal unsourced.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 05:07, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

They aren't actual names, so I am not in the position to argue with wiki rules.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 05:19, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

If anything, you can consider it a subspecies of Centaurs. We can put animal species' names in galleries and they do not need to have their own page.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 05:46, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

That is a really counterproductive way of trying to highlight a completely different issue.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 06:16, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

They are credited in the credits. I cannot show you, you need to look at that yourself like any other character. And again, they are not real names, more like species names. I'm not even sure we allowed to list them on episode or chapter pages, because again (in my opinion) they aren't real names. We don't list stuff like "Mocha's mom" in episode character lists either because they aren't real names.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 06:40, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

No rule against that. If you want, I'll create their own section for them on the Centaur page when I have the time, but it's probably going to be short and go in the trivia section as I don't really want to rewatch or reread Punk Hazard at this point.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 06:54, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

I connected it to Centaur Patrol Unit page and put a quick reference.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 07:03, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

That's good that you made that page, but that one has an actual name. This name is more of a description, but my point is, it is more accurate than Leopard Centaur or Giraffe Centaur because if you direct translate then it would be Leopardtaur and Giraffetaur, especially since even the English versions credited it as Hyoutauros and Kirintauros.--Nightmare Pirates (talk) 07:08, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

The members section is used for descriptions in very few times (Super Spot-Billed Duck Troops, Tsumegeri Guards, Heart Pirates, etc.). Rhavkin (talk) 20:53, July 13, 2020 (UTC)

Could you please stop adding random suggestions to talk page discussions? Changing section names on episode pages has nothing to do with Hyoutaurus or Kirintaurus. Please stay on topic. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 00:15, July 14, 2020 (UTC)

There are no external links because the park closed and has no website. And no, I was not planning on making a page for the park on other wikis. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 23:53, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

Yes, the sources I used have information about the Dragon Ball and Naruto areas. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 01:46, July 30, 2020 (UTC)

Apparently, I guess. That is the term the source used. Montblanc Noland :: Talk 01:50, July 31, 2020 (UTC)

Re:Image[edit source]

Due to a lack of a digitally-accessible version of the image, I have to take a picture of the TV screen by myself. This is taken from the eyecatcher of Episode 531 of the Filipino dub.

Referencing Concerns[edit source]

Funny. I don't think you were that concerned about referencing for whoever wrote that personality section previously.

I'll put them later. Rewriting articles to make them presentable is difficult, double so if I have to interrupt myself to check the exact chapter and page something happens. Triple so when there were no references to begin with, so I can't just edit them. It's a time-consuming task.

KingCannon (talk) 02:29, August 7, 2020 (UTC)

Re: non-canon[edit source]

They are already put like that, those edits on the category don't change the code. Cracker-Kun (talk) 17:34, August 13, 2020 (UTC)

Reference[edit source]

Yes I know how to leave a reference.

A double {, followed by the Ref. Then you put in a divider |, whatever that thing is actually called.

You type “name=c“ followed by the chapter number. You add dividers and do the same for the page number of the chapter that the info can be found on, as well as the episode number if it’s already been in the anime. Substituting the “c” for a “p” and “e” respectively.

Another divider and a sentence describing the reference.

Finally, a double } to close it. (GoldenOath20 (talk) 06:18, August 19, 2020 (UTC))

Reference II: Electric Boogaloo[edit source]

You're going to have to be more specific on that count... as far as I know I've stuck references to 95% of everything I've added so far. Is it about the 4Kids dub commentary? I might fall a bit behind on those because I'm not sure of the proper way to reconcile the ref system with 4Kids' f'ed-up episode numbering. RubberLotus (talk) 05:32, August 20, 2020 (UTC)

Re:Canon[edit source]

I mean, you could include a reference by their name next to the SBS reference that notes that they were also named in an episode. But I don't really think the page gains anything by mentioning that they were first named in an anime episode, unless there is a discrepancy which there isn't in this instance. What's important is giving a source for the character's name, and the SBS is a much better source than anime credits. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 14:20, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

What confusion? Not mentioning the episode doesn't hurt any page because all the episode provided was the name, and we now have a canon source for the name. What does it impede us from doing? Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 14:36, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 17:20, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 18:43, September 15, 2020 (UTC)

Your talk about "repeating history" creates the impression that some sort of issue occurred with this topic in the past. Correct me if I have forgotten, but I do not recall this having been an issue at any point. As of now, we have a pretty good system: categorize the canon characters named in the anime, remove said category once they get named in a canon source. Can you give me clear and concrete reasons why we should record instances of noncanon name source -> canon name source? Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 04:50, September 16, 2020 (UTC)

Well, if you find the right words feel free to relay them to me. And I haven't seen anyone except you who thinks there is a problem. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 06:20, September 16, 2020 (UTC)

Minor Characters[edit source]

Please limit the amount of really minor characters you put into the galleries. One or two notable unknowns might be okay, but if they appeared in one scene, and are multiple, that detracts from the value of the gallery. Also, portraits need to be square, such as 500 by 500, or 395 by 395, or 678 by 678.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 21:01, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Depending on what kind of program you're using, they should show it somewhere. Like when you are selecting where to crop, there should be numbers somewhere.--Nightmare Pirates (talk) 21:09, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Also, just because they appear doesn't mean they are notable. They should at the very least have multiple appearances if you're going to add so many characters. For example in the Water 7 Gallery, there is no way the elevator girl or the vendor is notable.Nightmare Pirates (talk) 21:15, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

File:Rittonto's Mole Portrait.png isn't square. Check the dimensions of images before you upload them. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 23:37, September 21, 2020 (UTC)

Confirm Tag Additions[edit source]

Why do you think edits like these are productive?

Are you not caught up with the series?

Have you not read the chapter that was released today?

If you know the source, is it not better for the wiki for you to add the reference as opposed to the Confirm tag? It takes about an equivalent amount of work, especially if the chapter that the information comes from is already referenced on the page.

This behavior does nothing for the wiki and is not acceptable. Consider this a warning. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 19:02, September 27, 2020 (UTC)

Punk Hazard[edit source]

The box you're pointing at for "Center Lake" uses the same Japanese text as the box at the start of Chapter 671. It's a description of the lake and its placement; it's not a title. Dragonus Nesha (talk) 01:36, September 29, 2020 (UTC)

Telling People to Add References[edit source]

Hi Rgilbert. I appreciate your commitment to the wiki being referenced, but I don't think you need to message users to tell them to add them or ask why they didn't include them. That's what us admins and mods are for. If you want to check in with people from time to time in case they forget to do things (like how you reminded me to add/update categories for image uploads), that's fine and appreciated, but I want you to spend more time on fun edits :). Vandalism[edit source]

Vandalism
Your recent edit has been construed as vandalism. Please check our Vandalism Guidelines, and General Rules to avoid making further problems on the One Piece Wiki that could possibly lead to a ban. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Removing descriptions from images is vandalism and there is no reason for it. SeaTerror (talk) 19:23, October 6, 2020 (UTC)

Two Week Block[edit source]

You have been blocked for two weeks following your response to SeaTerror's message. Not only did you remove the message (which is obviously prohibited), you proceeded to ignore him and continue removing image descriptions. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back with you breaking wiki rules and being disruptive to the community. The two week ban builds on the one week ban you had last year for essentially the same reasons. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 04:49, October 7, 2020 (UTC)

You two are just haters as I've still yet to hear back from Kaizoku and I would like at least still be able to edit my draft page. Rgilbert27 (talk) 09:18, October 7, 2020 (UTC)

You referring to people who disagree with your changes as "haters" is the very essence of the issue with your attitude toward the community. By all means feel free to call out people for opposing you without a reason, but calling others "haters" is nothing more than a personal attack which is not acceptable here. And there is very much a reason for why your behavior toward ST was unacceptable.

Your response when ST warns you for removing information should not be to contact Kaizoku-Hime. They are a content mod, not an arbiter. If you wished to challenge ST's warning, you should have replied to him presenting your reasons for wanting to remove image information sections, and created a forum regarding it. You did respond to ST, but went off in an entirely different direction (in what world does new images not having info sections justify you removing them from other images?) For as many edit wars as you have been in in your three years here it is baffling how you still don't seem to understand our Editing Conduct and Discussion Guidelines. For your own sake you really need to learn how to approach people who are in conflict with you. Kaido King of the Beasts (talk) 16:42, October 7, 2020 (UTC)
