The Usopp Pirates was a group of children who pretended to be pirates in Syrup Village. It was formerly led by Usopp until he chose to join the Straw Hat Pirates.[1]
The group's Jolly Roger was like any other in the world of One Piece, except that instead of a proper jaw with teeth, the skull has an open mouth that is elongated vertically.

History[]
Past[]
The Usopp Pirates were formed five years before the start of the story. They joined Usopp in telling lies to the people of their hometown, Syrup Village, during that time.[1]
East Blue Saga[]
Syrup Village Arc[]
They later assisted Kaya in her escape when Captain Kuro planned to kill her. They did this mainly by running and hiding from Jango, whom Kuro sent to make Kaya leave everything to him in her will. The pirates had a tearful disbandment when Usopp decided to leave and become a real pirate. The trio announced their goals to their life, and Usopp suggested that they do not let the fire of their ambitions burn out. The children decided to continue Usopp's lies of "Pirates are coming" to their town.[2]
Legacy[]
Arabasta Saga[]
Jango's Dance Paradise[]
When they found Jango in their village, they chased him and forced him to run away.[3] They then became Kaya's unofficial bodyguards.[4]
Water 7 Saga[]
Post-Enies Lobby Arc[]
The former members of Usopp Pirates (Ninjin, Tamanegi, and Piiman) reacted to Usopp's new bounty after Enies Lobby was raided. Even though it said "Sogeking" and he was wearing a mask, they could recognize him because of his nose.[5]
Fish-Man Island Saga[]
From the Decks of the World[]
Two years have passed and they were reading the news of the Straw Hat Pirates' return in the newspaper that showed the current look of their former leader, Usopp.[6]
Whole Cake Island Saga[]
From the Decks of the World: The 500,000,000 Man Arc[]
Upon reading their captain's new bounty of 200,000,000, they cried with pride and joy.[7]
Trivia[]
The 4Kids version of the group name is "Veggie Pirates", a reference to the vegetable theme apparent in the crew members' names and appearances (Tamanegi, meaning "Onion"; Ninjin, meaning "Carrot"; and Piiman, meaning "Pepper").
Despite the crew having disbanded, Ninjin and Piiman both continue to wear the crew's flag on their clothes.[5][6]
