Uta's Special 1-Page Manga (ウタの特別1㌻漫画, Uta no Tokubetsu Ichi-Pēji Manga?) is a three-part manga drawn by Eiichiro Oda and published in consecutive Weekly Shonen Jump issues 35, 36-37, and 38. Each installment consists of a single page that tells the story of Uta creating one of her songs.[1]
All three installments were later included in Volume 4/4.
Summary[]
New Genesis[]
The story of "New Genesis" (新時代, Shin Jidai?) was released in Shonen Jump 2022 Issue 35 on August 1, 2022.[2] The story begins with Uta listening to various people who are suffering and asking for help people via a Den Den Mushi. She suddenly becomes inspired to write a new song, but cannot find a pen, instead resorting to items such as lipstick to write the musical notation and lyrics on the walls. When the song is complete, Uta calls it her masterpiece.
The World's Continuation[]
The story of "The World's Continuation" (世界のつづき, Sekai no Tsuzuki?) was released in Shonen Jump 2022 Issue 36-37 on August 8, 2022.[3] The story begins with Uta waking up from a nightmare of people running in the midst of flames. She walks up to the window where the sun is rising and reminisces about her childhood with Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates at Foosha Village. Uta then starts digging up crumpled pieces of paper from the trash can, and finds one with part of the lyrics to "The World's Continuation". She places the paper on her desk and starts writing more of the lyrics.
Where the Wind Blows[]
The story of "Where the Wind Blows" (風のゆくえ, Kaze no Yukue?) was released in Shonen Jump 2022 Issue 38 on August 22, 2022.[4] The story begins in the past with the Red Hair Pirates holding a childcare meeting to discuss how to make Uta stop crying. They suddenly hear a woman nearby singing to a baby who is asleep in her arms. The Red Hair Pirates start dancing and successfully make Uta laugh. In the present, Uta is sitting at her desk with her eyes closed, and holding a quill with the musical notation of "Where the Wind Blows" in front of her.
