The Walrus School[1] is the main educational institution of Elbaph, hosted in the Warrior's Spring alongside the neighboring Owl Library and southwest of Western Village. All of Elbaph's children come to the school in order to learn about different subjects and socialize with other children.
It was founded 20 years ago by Jaguar D. Saul under the request of the late King of Elbaph, Harald.
Layout and Locations[]
The Walrus School is an immense structure built on Branch Route 8, which rises from the Warrior's Spring coast and has boardwalk stairs built along its body so people can access the main building. The Owl Library is located just next to it, on an adjacent branch.
The school overall resembles an open treehouse, with two large central platforms (where most of the school's facilities are located) surrounded by several smaller structures, which are held aloft by hanging ropes tied to other parts of the branch. Some of those structures resemble playground swings while others spherical huts.
The school entrance has a grassy flower field where the children can play around. Above the entrance gate, there is a figurehead of a cartoon walrus wearing a graduate cap.
Faculty Room[]
The Faculty Room (職員室, Shokuin-shitsu?) is a lounge where the school's teaching staff tends to stay when not in class. It is also where Principal Kiba's office is located.[2]

20 years ago, at the request of King Harald, the school was founded by Saul, and run under the tutelage of Kiba.[1] Sometime during that interval, Ange, Wolf, Ripley, and Blade were hired as staff.
Final Saga[]
Elbaph Arc[]
Following the Straw Hats arrival on Elbaph, the crew was given a tour of the school by Saul, who also showed them to the Owl Library. While there, they interacted with the students and learned of Elbaph's history.[1]
The beings the students fear most attack the school.
Sometime later, Ange discovered the students drawing pictures of what they feared most, including Jörmungandr, Nika and Loki. Ange reassured them that said mythological beings did not exist, but complimented their work nonetheless. Later, the God's Knights targeted the school children. Rimoshifu Killingham, using his Devil Fruit power, put several of the children to sleep and pulled their fears out of their dreams, while Gunko directed nine of the sleeping children toward the port along Branch Route 8. The gym teacher, Wolf, tried to stop the sleeping children but was wounded by the invisible briars placed around them by Shepherd Sommers. When the MMA Jörmungandr attacked the schoolyard, the staff intervened to protect the students. The staff as a whole were greatly confused by the sleepwalking children and the monsters springing up out of the forest.[2][3]
