Yakedoro[2] was the second generation Fire Colossus (炎の巨像, Honō no Kyozō?) on Waford. As one of the Colossi, it maintained the barrier around the Tower of Heaven.
It is a secondary antagonist of One Piece Odyssey.
Appearance[]
Yakedoro was a statuesque being that appears to be mainly made of stone, with a near featureless face that it half black and half white. Its appendages and head glowed orange, and it wielded a staff with a large flame.
Abilities and Powers[]
Yakedoro wielded the Divine Breath's element of fire. It had extreme durability, being able to take powerful hits before being defeated.
Techniques[]
- Shakunetsu no Shinri (灼熱の真理, Shakunetsu no Shinri?, literally meaning "Scorching Truth"): Yakedoro lifts its staff before stamping it onto the ground. The stamp generates a pillar of fire underneath the opponent, burning them. This attack is localized as Burning Truth.
- Violent Fire King (暴流・火王?): Yakedoro raises its arms, causing balls fire to fly out of the top of its head. The small meteors rain down onto its opponents.
- Nichirin no Neppa (日輪の熱波, Nichirin no Neppa?, literally meaning "Solar Heat Wave"): Yakedoro generates a condensed ball of fire in front of its chest, before shooting it out in laser form ahead of it. The laser points towards the ground in front of the Colossus and gradually gets further, creating a line across the ground and burning everything it passes near.
History[]
Past[]
Yakedoro was created after the first Fire Colossus was decommissioned, and was designed to be weaker to avoid potential rampages. It, along with the other second generation Colossi, were the first to be completely stable.
After it's creation, it was named so as not to be confused with the first generation Fire Colossus.[2]
When Waford fell to the Blue Sea, the four second generation Colossi were each inside of their respective ruins. Some time in the last 200 years, Yakedoro escaped from its ruins, and began roaming the island.
One Piece Odyssey[]
While traveling across Waford, the Straw Hat Pirates were suddenly attacked by Yakedoro. After a short battle, they were interrupted by Lim, who stole away their abilities, before being attacked by Yakedoro once again. Unable to fight back, they were nearly defeated by the beast, before being suddenly saved by Adio Suerte, who informed them of the Colossus' limited range and instructed them to retreat.
Much later, Yakedoro attacked the Straw Hats again, this time in front of the Thousand Sunny. However, it was defeated by the pirates and destroyed.
