- Yamon is the only member of the Roger Pirates included in Oda's sketches who cannot be easily identified in the manga, making it possible that Yamon has yet to appear.
- With Yamon appearing in the anime, this makes him the second canon character to have only appeared in the anime, the other being Minatomo.
- Yamon's appearance in their concept art is similar to Kalgara, having long, wild, light colored hair, wielding a spear with an ornament at the base of the head, and wearing tribal attire.
